Our little slice of Heaven was once part of a 1,000+ acre farm. In 1995 it was sold to a timber company which it was then logged off, split and sold. All but one of the springs which are the head waters of the creek start on this land. This creek eventually reaches the Buffalo river in Middle Tennessee.
An unfinished cabin sits where "Grandma's" house sat around 1900. When you look down you can clearly see the remnants of "Grandma's" homestead . From the cabin you look across the spring and see the remains of an old barn which surely housed a pig or two. The road once ran down into the hollow and right by "Grandma's" house, if you look closely you can still see what remains of that old gravel road hugging the hillside.
We have an abundance of wildlife and have promised not to ever have this land clear cut again to keep it safe for all that live within as well as to keep it beautiful for all generations to come.
