Our family booked this site last minute. Best decision!! We camped right on the pond. The kids loved fishing throughout the day. The restroom (portapotty) is clean and just a few steps away. The host was friendly and super helpful. She also allowed us total privacy and distancing. Our kids climbed the back trail and found a hidden waterfall. They spent hours playing in the stream. We were very close to the national park and spent a day hiking there. Barbara has an outbuilding that allows you to access to a fridge, trash, and electricity (great for chargers)! The property is breathtaking! Don’t hesitate to visit!

Our weekend at Mountain Soul was wonderful. Pond Springs is a beautiful site, and Barbara made sure that we had everything we needed to make our weekend stress free and easy. While there are many things to do in the area, we stayed on the property and enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings the entire time. We typically camp at primitive sites, but we loved having a covered area that included electricity and a refrigerator!! The kids loved the pond, and there was plenty of room even with several tents.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The site was very private, with lots of shade available, and the pond was lovely. There were several spots to set up camp. We really enjoyed all of the thoughtful amenities, such as a dishwashing area, camp shower, and potable water and propane. We did not meet Barbra, but Jerry was very kind and a great and friendly host. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Sometimes it's easy to write even a 5 star review. But my fellow Hipcampers this was no ordinary campsite. This was an unforgettable experience. Jerry's property FAR exceeded our expectations. My friend and I actually turned around upon arrival and drove back up the hill because surely was a mistake. It began with a dock overlooking an idyllic pond, access to kayaks, fishing gear, firewood, charcoal smoker grill, toilet, outdoor shower, and a rustic open structure "community center" fully equipped with a kitchen and lounge area. Oh and did I mention you are right outside the Great Smoky Mountains? If you have the opportunity to book the Shangri La of the Smokys please do yourself a favor and jump on it. And if you do, Jerry will greet you with a warm smile. Thank you Uncle Jerry for hosting us on your wonderful property! We will definitely be staying by you the next time we're down in Tennessee. What an amazing experience! The Pond Springs site is one of 3 awesome campsites that Mountain Soul offers and they’re all beautiful!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pond Springs. I had the entire pond to myself, and that’s how they designed it. If one camper rents the space, it’s yours. If you have a group, you can rent the space and you pay a fee per tent. It’s huge! Communal fire pit, kitchen area with refrigerator and basic cooking supplies, outdoor water station for potable water and cleaning dishes, ample seating, fishing dock (some basic fishing supplies) and a makeshift outdoor bag shower,.
Barbra and Jerry were great! They legitimately care. They offer help with anything you may need. Very accommodating and welcoming. I felt like family on this healing get-away. I can’t thank you both enough!
Two notable details. 1) If your vehicle is low to the ground, talk to them about an alternate entrance to the pond site. 2) The pond has some very healthy bullfrogs in it. They sing loud and proud during the night! You may consider ear plugs for sleeping if you’re a lite sleeper. I personally loved it!

Great stay. Beautiful setting. Kids loved the kayaks and I couldn’t keep my dog out of the pond. Lots of stuff available to make your stay easy. Barbra and Jerry are great. There when you need them and stay away when you don’t. Please don’t hesitate to stay on their great property.

Barb & Jerry were so polite & welcoming. Jerry showed us around our spot & Barb gave us some great recommendations for around the town. My girls loved the private pond were the caught fish, frogs, & kayaked.
They have everything you need for your stay! I forgot a few things & they had it available in the kitchen area! Night time was very active! The toads & crickets were singing all night. They warned us to keep food away at night because their are bears on the land. You could hear dogs howling & bears grumbling through tbe night! What a great place to camp! I absolutely loved it & plan on going back! I highly recommend this spot!!
