We spent five days at The Bolo Club and loved it! There were so many helpful amenities like a fully stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, and clean bathrooms (with AC!). We were so comfortable that we felt like we were camping out on the front lawn of our own home.

The Bolo Club is pretty far away from anything, but there was still a surprising number of things to do. The hosts maintain several hiking trails throughout the property (you can purchase horse rides too). We hiked every day and were still unable to see it all. One trail took us through a corn field that was full of wild turkeys and white tailed deer. Another took us up a stream and to a large cave. When we weren't hiking, watching the farm animals, or working online using the FREE wifi, we went out for drives.

We took the 10 minute drive to the local restaurant where I had one of the best baked potatoes I have ever eaten (I'm from IDAHO!). Another 15 minutes took us to the historic town of Sherwood and another 15 to a state park and the beautiful University of the South. We even took a day trip to Chattanooga which was well worth the 1hr drive.

The hosts were very kind and checked in on us each day. I hope our journey will take us back to Tennessee so that we can stay at The Bolo Club again.

This rooster took a particular interest in us and made sure to come visit the van each morning to make sure we were awake. He usually arrived disappointed to see we were already up.After a long hot day of hiking, sitting in the creek with a beer was exactly what we needed. There are two large areas for camping. We chose this one as it was closer to the bathroom. The other is a little more private and closer to the stream.Photo taken during one of our hikes along the stream at The Bolo Club.
