We spent five days at The Bolo Club and loved it! There were so many helpful amenities like a fully stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, and clean bathrooms (with AC!). We were so comfortable that we felt like we were camping out on the front lawn of our own home.

The Bolo Club is pretty far away from anything, but there was still a surprising number of things to do. The hosts maintain several hiking trails throughout the property (you can purchase horse rides too). We hiked every day and were still unable to see it all. One trail took us through a corn field that was full of wild turkeys and white tailed deer. Another took us up a stream and to a large cave. When we weren't hiking, watching the farm animals, or working online using the FREE wifi, we went out for drives.

We took the 10 minute drive to the local restaurant where I had one of the best baked potatoes I have ever eaten (I'm from IDAHO!). Another 15 minutes took us to the historic town of Sherwood and another 15 to a state park and the beautiful University of the South. We even took a day trip to Chattanooga which was well worth the 1hr drive.

The hosts were very kind and checked in on us each day. I hope our journey will take us back to Tennessee so that we can stay at The Bolo Club again.

This rooster took a particular interest in us and made sure to come visit the van each morning to make sure we were awake. He usually arrived disappointed to see we were already up.After a long hot day of hiking, sitting in the creek with a beer was exactly what we needed. There are two large areas for camping. We chose this one as it was closer to the bathroom. The other is a little more private and closer to the stream.Photo taken during one of our hikes along the stream at The Bolo Club.

This place is paradise!! Best trail I’ve ever ridden. Slept like babies camping and the owners are ridiculously kind. We will be back again and again.

We loved our stay at The Bolo Club, and we wished we could have stayed longer! Mary, Charlie, and Steve were all so kind and helpful. The property is absolutely beautiful and there are so many things to do here! They specialize in people traveling with horses, but you don't have to have a horse to enjoy all the amenities. The Bolo Club is on around 4000 acres of land and there are 10 trails you can hike or ride your horse. They have horses, cows, ducks, chickens, dogs, and guineas. You can also kayak the creek that's on the property. There is limited wifi and cell service, but who needs it?! There's so much to do! There is also a bathhouse that is clean. There are 45 camp sites and many of them have RV hookups. You can do primitive camping on the property as well.

Pretty sure we were the only tent campers and the only ones who didn’t bring horses, but we didn’t mind. So cool to be around so many horses. We took a freezing cold dip in the creek and ate salmon and kabobs around the fire. Everyone was incredibly nice and the place was super clean.

We stayed at the Bolo Club with our two kids and it was the perfect place for an easy weekend of camping. The bathrooms are very well kept and easy to access. There is a nearby creek for kids to play in and plenty of hikes on the property. Plus the hosts were very hospitable. We will definitely be back!
