Enjoy stepping out of the bustle of urban life and into the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of our 500 acre horse farm and farmstead. The tent camping area is set in a private nook of the farm, with a pastoral backdrop dotted with horses and cows. The perfect location for an intimate getaway or a group experience, the tent camping area comes with a firepit stocked with wood and an outhouse.
The space
The camping area is an open field surrounded by forest, trails and, in the summer, fireflies. There is a fire ring, a porta toilet, and water barrel with potable water. This site is for people looking to camp but still be close to Chattanooga. For years we have hosted small groups, church youth and college organizations at the site. Due to its secluded nature you truly have to know someone to have been introduced to it.
Guest access
This is a working farm. We have 70ish horses, chickens, some goats, cows, sheep and more. There’s a stream, mountain to climb, trails to hike and cows to milk. Happy to have you.
Interaction with guests
We love to meet our guests upon arrival if possible, and if not then, we almost always will meet you at least once when we replenish your wood supply. Otherwise, guests are given their privacy unless they want to join us milking the cows, doing chores in the morning and/or evening, or taking a trail ride. Then we love getting to know guests better and sharing a little about ourselves as well!
Other things to note
Come prepared for a primitive camping adventure! –Guests will be able to drive their vehicles through a field within about 100' of the site. –The outhouse is just that. We will, however, provide a bag which includes TP.–In keeping with all good camping etiquette, please pack out your trash! (We do have a dumpster available at the barns.) –We welcome your dogs, but please clean up after them around the camping area and they must stay leashed around the barns. –For more information about our farm, including more pictures and special events that might be happening during your stay, you can look Hidden Hills Farm & Saddle Club up online.

We loved it. The campsite was private and there was plenty of room for the kids and dog to run around. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back.

This is a great site with nice rolling hills and great views especially considering it's proximity to civilization. My wife and I had a great time. It was really nice that some firewood is supplied and extra available for purchase if requested.

Very nice folks.
Nice private area....pretty quiet also.
Perfect weather while I was there also.
Ample ammentities for primitive camping.
Would stay again if I have the opportunity.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We loved all of the opportunities to take part in the daily farm life, very educational and fun. We highly recommend tasting all the raw milk, cheese, maple syrup, and buying some of the farm-made ice cream! The trail ride was also very educational and fun. The campsite was nicely secluded, with the nearest neighbors being over 150 yards away and the privacy provided by the row of trees to hide the view from the nearest gravel driveway.

We decided to stop on our way to Deep Creek in NC and stopped at Mike & Tara's in Chattanooga around 10pm. Mike was extremely helpful, was ready at the entrance to lead us to our site! He supplied water, TP as well as an outhouse on the site, and even started our fire and supplied extra wood! The site was perfect and had an amazing view of the stars also.
