Perfect getaway with our pups
Beautiful property. Super dog friendly. Our pups loved playing with Elliot (camp dog). Chris was super helpful with advice on things to do nearby. We took his recommendation and went to Fall Creek Falls State Park for a day trip and absolutely loved the park. Had some great, easy hikes.
Our stay was amazing! Chris was incredibly helpful and the nicest guy. He certainly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, knew where everything was, and enjoyed ourselves. This was our first time primitive camping and we hopefully plan on returning again sometime. The property was absolutely beautiful/very clean and we couldn’t have imagined a better place to camp. If you’re thinking about trying out primitive camping for the first time, you won’t find a better place for it. Just DON’T forget tick spray.
Chris was an awesome guy.... Easy to talk to and really enjoyed his company. The land is plentiful and he allows you to basically choose the spot that works best for you... It was fun watching my dogs enjoy the wide open spaces...
I really would suggest checking Hammock'sway camping retreat out if your looking for peace and quiet and good nights rest..!!! Thanks Chris.!
Accommodating host and cute dogs!
The property is beautiful and the spaces are private and spread out all over. Chris is very accommodating and sweet. He offered us stronger bug spray because we had our hippy dippy bug spray that doesn’t work. Lol He also offered to cut branches down with his chainsaw for our car to drive thru. My only concern was there were quite a bit of ticks so bring plenty of bug spray and tick preventative for yourself and your pets. Chris is super sweet and so are his dogs. He has awesome plans to expand the property. We wish you well on your dream Chris! Very inspiring for us!
This is a wonderful place to stay. Chris is a gracious, welcoming, and helpful host, and I love what he’s doing with the land. This is a primitive campsite which means that you have a beautiful piece of land where you can be alone and enjoy the sounds of nature. It’s a little hard to find, but Chris goes out of his way to help you find your way. I stayed in the Pine Forest site which almost felt like another world. I highly recommend this campground for those who want a weekend away from it all. You won’t find this kind of solitude at a public campground.
