The vibe at Glamping at Deer Camp
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Mitch and Lori were great hosts and I would highly recommend staying here. This whole place was built and decorated by them, as they are into antiquing and carpentry. They have thought of everything in designing this spot and it really shows. It's got everything you could need, making it easy to show up and enjoy your time.
Living in Nashville AND moving into a new place can be a bit overwhelming, stumbled upon this place while looking for night away for my girlfriends birthday. Lori and Mitch were awesome. I've never "glamped" before but would definitely do it again. They had thought of everything down to a wine key. The fire was also roaring when we pulled in. There was a "happy birthday" banner along with cupcakes waiting for us when we walked in. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to be away from it all, without a lack of accommodations and comfort.
Wow, I don’t know where to begin. We arrived around 3:00 pm and we’re promptly greeted by our host. We were shown the cabin and bath house and told of the general rules. We had a nice conversation and then she was gone. We had the whole place to ourselves. It was very nicely decorated and impeccable. We had a great stay here and I highly recommend this place for those of you who need to get away from it all! There are all the modern conveniences you need but you are able to completely in-plugin you want. They gracious hosts provide everything you could possibly need even a few snacks. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon.
Deer Camp was a great choice! As our first Hipcamp experience, others have a lot to live up to! The camp is within reach of Chattanooga and even Nashville as a day trip. Fall Creek Falls State Park is also nearby with lots to do for the outdoor enthusiast. Lori was super helpful in planning our trip prior to our arrival. The site itself was so thoughtfully designed, very private and the hospitality was top notch. The bathhouse is as amazing as it looks - Innovative, peaceful, private yet it feels so open - truly the best bathhouse I’ve yet to experience - I want one of my own! The treehouse is perfectly designed for a couple to enjoy - and I absolutely loved that it had an outdoor kitchen. The abundance of light as well as air circulation via all the windows and the ceiling fans made our time enjoyable even in the warmer days of mid June. It was very peaceful, Lori and Mitch have a beautiful property and have maintained Deer Camp so well. Their pride in craftsmanship and attention to every detail was very much appreciated. I highly recommend this camp!
We thoroughly enjoyed Lori and Mitch's treehouse glamping experience! As others have said, the level of detail in the design and many special touches/extras were impressive. They even catered to our pets.
Although the location is somewhat remote (in a good way!), there were no issues finding the spot. GPS leads right to the driveway that Lori described. Mitch and their dog Bubba arrived shortly after we did for a friendly greeting and some additional info.
The cabin was a cozy hideout as some storms came through. We were totally content to enjoy relaxing and staying dry with comfy surroundings, books, games, media until the weather improved. Once things cleared up, we were in close proximity to tons of great hiking. The bath house was really extra - as a primitive camper I felt like I was in a hotel with these creature comforts.
Definitely check this place out. They've really worked hard to curate a unique experience and it shows!
