Pitch your tent, or camp in your vehicle and listen to the the year round spring fed stream. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but know that you are an Uber/Lyft ($25) ride away from downtown Nashville. You are also close to everything in Hendersonville and Old Hickory Lake.

1.5 miles from one of my favorite coffee shops, Authentic Coffee Co. and a handful of local restaurants. This campsite is on a 37 acre tract in the Timber Forestry program so it is all mature trees, hills and creeks.

There are 2 campsites close enough should you want to book multiple sites with a group, but far enough away where you will not be disturbed. Campsite #1 is the first campsite which is tucked in between 2 large hills right alongside a creek. Campsite #2 is a little further back in the property alongside the creek. This is slightly more open and right on the creek as well. Both sites have plenty of good spots for a tent or hammock. You can drive and park at both sites as long as you have decent ground clearance (Example of vehicles that have stayed: Toyota Highlander, Honda CRV, Subaru Outback, Jeeps). If you are in car I would recommend parking towards the entrance of the property or pulling off in a dedicated flat sport before you go down towards the creek (see the picture with the white Volvo sedan). I am constantly improving these camp sites so expect tables, firewood, shovels and all kinds of things to make your camping more enjoyable.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Thanks,

Matthew

Unbelievable forest camping. The ultimate freedom and space to wander the woods. This campground feels like a mountain in Colorado but you're just outside of Nashville. I recommend this for friends or family who are looking for a place to camp for the weekend and want a private, outdoors-ey experience. The classic camping vibe!

The campsites are right along a perfect little creek.A few areas to choose from. Either are beautiful!Incredible fire pit available.Super quiet, large forest to wander.

My boyfriend and I stayed at site 1 and loved it! There was a basketball goal, fire pit and chairs, table and picnic table, all right next to a nice small stream. There was also a cooler with some cups, bowls, toilet paper, lighters, etc. Around the fire were some little wooden tables that I’m assuming he made, nice touches. Matthew responded quickly and the detailed instructions were great to have. I made the drive to the site in my 2005 Subaru Outback just fine, luckily the ground was pretty dry. Most of the wood was still damp so we went to Walmart (about 10-15 mins away) and grabbed some. Perfect little spot right outside the city. Thanks Matthew!

Hands down THE BEST Tennessee camping experience I've had. The host, the creek, the land, the peace and quiet are unmatched here. I cannot wait until the next time I have a chance to stay. Thanks again Matt!

The site was nestled down between some hills next to a creek. Such an awesome little piece of land and perfect for camping. It’s close to the city, but also tucked away enough to feel like you’re really out in the middle of nowhere. The site had a great fire ring, a picnic table, and a work station for prepping food and stuff. As much as I love hiking, being able to pull the car up and enjoy a relaxing trip for Memorial Day was perfect. Walking up the creek is a good way to pass time. My only concern is that there were a few gunshots (from neighbors doing target practice I presume) that we’re a little close and we could here the bullets hitting the trees down a ways, but after we alerted whoever was doing the shooting, they promptly stopped and everything was perfectly fine. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed in July, and because of the shade and the location, it stayed cool enough to sleep comfortably! A rare find in TN. We loved that there are so many creeks to explore, and our dog loved the freedom! We will definitely be back.

First time using Hipcamp, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The location was very private, but was also furnished with a fire pit, chairs, picnic table, and even spare pots and pans in case you forgot to bring any. The land was beautiful and kept very clean. I will definitely be staying here again. Thanks!

Fern Brook Nashville was AMAZING! So quiet and peaceful, it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend! Matthew was responsive and super nice. Everything was exactly as described, easy to work with and we are 100% sure that we will be back!

Creek that runs by Site 2. The water was low, but babbled by the tent. It was the song we fell asleep to each night. Fern Brook - NashvilleGreat place to think and write. I would name this “Serenity Lane.”

what an awesome time we had this weekend. It was nice to get away from the city without having to plan a huge trip. Fernbrook is a car campers dream. The firerings , tables , trash can , and chairs made the pack in so much easier. my visiting friends were relieved to get a nights rest by the creek and fall asleep under the stars. thank you Matthew for all the information and the home away from home atmosphere! highly recommended

This was a great spot to get away from the city to camp out! Matthew has everything set up nice, and you don’t have to worry about bringing firewood or chairs. There’s even a basketball goal and ball at site 2. Very peaceful out in Fern Brook 👍🏽
