Pitch your tent at the future site of the log cabin we will build with Hipcamp funds. In the cedar grove next to the pond you may be visited by a herd of goats showing off their babies. Don't want to be around goats? We can easily control access. Nearby hiking offers easy level forest trails or more challenging hiking down into "The Bowl" or up to "High Point." 360 degree sweeping Smokey Mountain views can be seen from "Top of the World."
Our working 130 acre grass-fed cattle and goat ranch offers a unique opportunity to see baby goats in the spring, goats being milked, goat milk soap being made (available for sale as well), wild blackberry picking in July and August, or just unplug and reconnect to nature on the "wild side" of the farm where you can find views with no man made structure visible.

The vibe at Cabin Pond
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We really enjoyed our stay at Kathi's propety! It's a big working 130 acre working farm with goats, pigs, cows, and chickens in the beautiful hills. Upon arrival, Kathi drove us around and pointed everything out, including multiple camping spots we could choose from. Her enthusiasm for all of the projects they were working on there and to have visitors to the farm was contagious. All of the tent sites were private, and we chose a site on top of a hill. Nice breeze and plenty of firewood to collect nearby. It was fun to explore the area by day and interact with the animals, although Kathi also offered to bring them to different pastures if we didn't want to hear livestock while we camped. We hope to go back soon and would definitely recommend the location to future guests! Only 1hr outside of Nashville but still totally removed from development.
