This is a great place to stay, it's affordable, in a great location, and the hosts are very kind and hospitable people. Rebecca and Bryan are setting a higher standard for the industry, and they know how to treat a guest like a friend. The area is quiet and serene with great amenities, and is close to bald river falls, the cherohala skyway, and the tail of the dragon. 11/10 will definitely stay again.

Here I am making my first bad review in life. I really wanted to like this place but it definitely wasn’t as advertised. There are no quick access to trails or waterfalls upon many others amenities that were listed. The host rebekah was very rude and didn’t offer any sympathy when we spoke. And actually said she was going to leave me a review for calling her out. I wouldn’t recommend this place so I hope this is helpful for someone else reading this because I believe the other reviews are from friends. I ended up leaving early after one night and didn’t get a refund but definitely learned my lesson. The place has potential but still needs to be made into what is being advertised.

We are saddened to read Elisabeth's response, for we truly value a great camping experience at Drifting Meadows. When Elisabeth arrived on site, she showed with an additional guest that she did not register. There was a young child with her "maybe her daughter" who said she complained all the time. (Sadly to say, I felt from that moment I would have a problem with her). The camp area was left in a state of disarray. Trash was left scattered around the area which goes against camp policy. I offered a rain bag for Elizabeth and her guest to use within the shower area, but without speaking to me directly - she left before I could pass off the bag. She asked for a money return even with her additional arrival and the mess left behind. While recognizing Elisabeth's discontent, Drifting Meadows may not be the best environment for campers of this nature.

Not a place I'd stay a long period, but if you need a stop for a night I think it would be ok. The over all feel is that its more set up for an adult only a little more on the enjoy your weekend style. While I did have two kids there over all I don't think its the best place for them.
-The waterfall is not *on site*
- Only one firepit for the tent area
- shower we didn't use
- communication could have been better with stay and leaving times.
- needs an area or trash bin
-Take drinking water.
Once Drifting Meadows gets a little more experience behind them I think they will have a decent area, but for now there needs to be some clarity on things.

Paige, thank you for your feedback but most of the topics you addressed are in the bio. I don't disclose the waterfall is on site...I say in the area. Because of burn policies we have to have a communal campfire and we like for people to be a bit communal. Next time up...please try the shower area if you are there for more time as it is really nice. Communication about stay and leaving times was sent in our message and I am sorry if you had any confusion. The bio request that all perishables be removed from your camp area. (Trash again is what you bring in...is what you take out.) Thanks again for your review and we hope you had an amazing trip .

Maysee...thank you so much for your kindness. I really enjoyed sharing time with you and your beautiful family. You are welcome back anytime. (If you do make it back...please take my offer on the camper or tree house when built). Looking forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future.
