Campsites are located on a 120 year old farm under restoration, which is family owned and operated. Get some time away. You'll have privacy as you explore the farm: wade the creek, sway on the tire swing, visit the farm animals (goats, cows, pigs, and chickens), pick wild berries, and sample farm fresh produce and eggs when available. Hiking trails are also available on the farm through tranquil woods.

Property is easily accessible from Nashville. In addition, day trips are possible to several lakes, rivers, waterfalls, historic sites, civil war battlefields, state parks, and national wildlife areas.

Our experience began by a warm welcome from Patti and her family and pack of big, friendly farm dogs. No one else had reserved, so we had our choice of sites. Site 1 is a pull in site, you can see and hear the creek but it is not accessible. Site 2 does have creek access and would be a great tent spot -- quite secluded with a firepit built into the slight slope taking you down to the creek; we didn't opt for this spot simply because we camp in our van rather than a tent. You probably wouldn't put your tent right by the creek due to the rocks but you could have a fire and set your chairs up there. We stayed at site 3, which is the most secluded and closest to the "mini water fall" in the photos. We had a truly lovely time, the rush of creek was the weekend's soundtrack. Its a perfect place to read, write, spread out a blanket and soak up the sun during the day in the meadow and sing songs around the camp fire at night. One thing to note is that 99% of the time there was no cell service--which was a bonus for us but if you need to be constantly accessible, this probably isn't a good spot for you at the moment, if you are with AT&T anyway. Patti checked on us the second day and offered hay as fire starter if we needed it (it had rained overnight) and invited us to explore the farm, trails and interact with any livestock. She even lent us some tools for getting more firewood if we needed it! This would be a great place to bring a dog if you had one--we don't but we ended up adopting one of theirs for the weekend -- Bruno the Magnificent! He's like an old cat trapped in a dog's body, sleeping in the sun all day and waking up for pets -- we so enjoyed our time with him. A clear night lent itself to some great stargazing in the meadow, with our new pal Bruno by our side of course :-) . Finally, Patti sent us home with some farm fresh eggs from their own chickens. All and all, we had a great time and Patti's above and beyond hosting (with the help of Bruno, too, of course haha) really made this a memorable experience. We hope to camp again here and highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Patti and family and please give Bruno our love!

The hosts were so lovely and let our kids feed their goats and tour the farm. The creek at the site was great especially because it was such a hot day. Everything you need including 2 very friendly watch dogs. We also brought our dog and he loved it too.

We booked site 2 and site 3 with friends. Site 2 was an amazing place to spend the day playing in the creek - perfect for a hot day! We ended up setting all our tents up at site 3, as there is more space there and it is a bit further from the road. (The road is not busy, but cars do pass by on it.) At night the stars, and the fireflies, were out in full force! However, the highlight of our trip was Patti and Gil’s hospitality. They are the nicest hosts, and invited us to explore their farm, meet their animals (and help feed them), play on their tree swings, and hike through the moss forest to the edge of their property. They even sent us home with some farm fresh eggs! This was a great weekend away from Nashville.

Looking up the creek at site 2.The creek at site 2. The tent area for this site is just up from the creek. Site 3 (after we broke down our tents), our daughter saying goodbye to her new buddies. The welcoming crew! We enjoyed getting to spend time with the dogs.

It was really great staying on Patti C's land. We fed the goats and pigs and met the cows and dogs. The dogs were great and greeted us when we arrived and stayed at our campsite through the night. The stream was nice and we enjoyed exploring the land!

We loved staying at Patti's land. It was a great half-way point on our drive south from Chicago without too much of a detour from major roads. Patti and her husband were both lovely, and even let us help feed the pigs and goats! I will note that we loved hanging out with their three dogs (one of which guarded outside our tent the whole night), but if you are not a dog person I would keep this in mind. We loved the creek right below our campsite. The campsite is also slightly more exposed to the road than expected, but we still enjoyed the experience.
