Cider Hollow is a quiet off-grid farm nestled in the hills of Tennessee. We are a small working farm producing heritage pork and raising various poultry. There are lots of nearby activities. We are about 35 mins away from Pickwick Lake State Park and about 20 mins from Up the Creek Kayak rentals. About 45 mins away is historic Shiloh battlefield. If bargain shopping is your thing, there is a huge flea market every weekend about 30 mins away.

Cider Hollow Off-Grid Farm Camp
Beginning of a horror movie
Off-grid farm sounds nice. I’ve been to one that was really nice and organized and clean. This was basically in the bowels of Tennessee where it’s super easy to get lost, it’s in gravel roads, and there were skulls and dead animals everywhere as well as mangy malnourished dogs walking around and you wouldn’t even know it was a farm of any kind for the fact that it was the epitome of a junk yard...just with skulls of animals as decor and super dirty and rusty. It felt incredibly uneasy even to a hardened person. It literally felt like the beginning of a horror movie. We absolutely did not feel safe there and we did not stay for even an hour or unpack.

Cider Hollow Off-Grid Farm Camp
Friendly host. Gave us a tour point arrival. Unfortunately area was not what we had expected. Campsite options 200 m from other homes. No flat ground and large trash items (freezer, matress, etc.) dumped in every direction at camp site. Only a partial review because we did not stay to make camp.

Cider Hollow Off-Grid Farm Camp
A bunch of free range animals, the sweetest pups, plenty of land to explore and tons of cool spots to set up camp! The weather was lovely enough to stay in ENOs during my stay so we took the opportunity to sleep under the stars and count how many shooting stars we could see.
