Pitch your tent or hang your hammock on the edge of the bluff above the Buffalo. This unique campsite is farther down a path into a unique wooded area on the bluff above the river and landscape below steps away. Because of this, no children under 12 allowed at this site. You'll be immersed in the forest and if voices are silent you can hear the river and the birds and the wind, if any, in the trees. There is enough space here for several tents. This listing requires an inquiry prior to booking to talk about your group.

The outhouse (planned for late summer 2020) is located in the center of the campground about 3 minute walk away. You are invited to hike around the property or even bring your mountain bike where you'll be able to ride about 1.5 to 2 miles meandering through the various terrain here on the buffalo. And don't forget the best aspect - our riverfront on the Buffalo - that features a nice area to wade or swim with a large rock wall as your view. Bring your canoe or kayak and you can set in to one of two spots up the river (5 or 10 min drive) and take out at the camp. A minimal transport fee to go get your vehicle or to be dropped off.

To unload, you drive through the magical pine tree lane down to an area where you can unload. Parking is not available adjacent to any of the campsites to keep this a magical nature space. It's not a far walk and your vehicle will be safe in the parking area. This special spot is best for one or two tents or single tents.

**KAYAK RENTAL OR TRANSPORT SERVICE**Based on availability you may want to rent kayaks for up to 6 people. This includes transport to one of two spots up river. The first is called Texas Bottoms and is about a 3 hr float unless you fish or lollygag. The second. Grinder's Creek is about 10 minute drive and approximately 8 hrs which requires getting out at Texas Bottoms and walking across the street due to the low bridge. (TDOT will be renovating in 2021). $30/person for Texas Bottoms. $40/person for Grinder's Creek.Transport service available for up to 6 people and your own kayaks to drop in OR one person drive back to your vehicle - reservations required. Please ask about additional drop in services farther up river. Max vehicle capacity is 6 people. Can also park and get a ride back to your vehicles. Rate based on distance and number of people.

Beautiful land! River was fantastic to swim in! Nice way to cool off:). Only issue is there was an extra 20$ fee per adult and the composting toilet was not built yet. Once that happens this place is perfect!! Val was very pleasant and I lived seeing her donkeys! Oh and a nice wild Billy goat visited us in the morning 😊
