Very strange place to camp, basically in someone's backyard. Nowhere for the kids to play. As soon as we got the dogs out of the car (baring in mind they'd been in there for 3 hours) we were told to put them on the lead

Very random backyard littered with old cars, boats and a basketball court with some sandy Ferny areas very close to the residence. Nothing like the images on the advert. Had I arrived in the day time I think I would have run for the hills.

My family and i really enjoyed parking up for the night at Dodges Ferry sea views. The host was very accomodating and responsive. We had a great site on the concrete slab with power provided and had a nice campfire as well. We look forward to coming back

upon arrival we walked around the block and decided it wasn’t suitable for us so we forfeited our payment and went elsewhere. There were two vans already there which didn’t leave any accessible “dispersed” sites for us. We could have parked next to the people already there but decided not to invade their privacy by doing so. The hosts were not home at the time. The usable area isn’t very large and their house is right In the middle of the block.

Great location. Local bakery and butcher not too far away. But still close enough to the bigger cities/ towns with plenty around to do

Upon arrival Christian and his wife were so welcoming and helpful showing us to our site and very accommodating in us staying an extra night. Being right amongst nature was fantastic, small Bennett’s wallabies freely hopping around at dusk bird life was beautiful, at our time at Christian’s site I saw Robin red breasts and blue wrens

Nice spot to stay and enjoy some peaceful time at the beach, spot little crabs at low tide (only 15min walk from the campsite), or explore southern Tasmania.

We had a lovely time at Dodges Ferry Sea View. A nice, safe and secure relaxing spot to get away from it all. Christian was quite hospitable and friendly. Looking forward to another stay down the track. 4.5 stars.

Excellent communication, the site we were given was up the hill behind the house and was on an old half basketball court. Neighbouring houses were in close proximity and the water taps nearby were turned off.
In the add for the place it says several times water is available and only at the end does it say water is available for a small fee but then there was no option to add the water on as an option when checking out. The two taps near us didn’t work.
Also Hobart airport isn’t far away so you hear the jets landing and taking off.
Saw several wallabies on dusk hop past us which was cool.

Great and simple camping spot, with ample room for tents. Fantastic ocean views, in a cute little town. Christian was lovely and communicated well! Not many strong trees for hammocks, but they’re still growing. :-)
