Plenty Star Ranch in the Southern Black Hills is the private home of Jack and Isa Kirk and located right along Hwy 385 and the 110 miles long Mickelson Trail from Deadwood to Edgemont (mile marker 34/35).

We cater to adult guests (children over the age of 12), seeking solitude and peace in Black Hills' amazing nature, spending a few nights at our beautiful place in the Southern Black Hills of SD. Sorry, no pets, and no smoking at our place..

9.5 miles South of Custer, and close to all the major attractions in the Black Hills, like Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Mountain, we are a popular stopover for bikers and hikers, pitching a tent, hooking up their RV (full or partial), sleeping in one of our 2 rustic 1-bedroom camping log cabins or our Lakota style tipi.

We also feature a bedroom cabin/ campsite on a very secluded piece of land without any other campers or noise, just surrounded by 100% National Forest - "Wilderness Glamping" at its finest!

At the main ranch there is a restroom attached to our garage for all guests as well as a solar shower building. Please, bring your own solar shower bags. Te cabins have always fresh linens and towels. There is also a, approved campfire pit. Off the ground grills are allowed, no other fires though.

Check-in time is between 4 pm and 9 pm at our home. No arrivals accepted after 9 pm.

Exception: Later arrivals have to find their own way to the cabins. We will leave the light on outside and the door unlocked.

We are open May through September, weather permitting October.

Sit around our approved camp fire site in the evenings and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea on our porch in the morning. You can use our WiFi here as well. The only cell service for a few miles around the ranch is AT%T.

We enjoy to keep our peaceful place clean, as well as smoke and drug free and I hope you appreciate this as much as we do.

While at the ranch, explore Jack's Custom Barn Wood Frames & Furniture shop and my art work and Black Hills Flower Essences products or if you are so inclined, plan in a little time for an intuitive Tarot reading or an Essential Touch healing with her.
