Enjoy a very special, one-of-a-kind treat. Pitch your tents on our remote private 78 acre piece of land for primitive camping at its finest, surrounded by breathtaking beautiful, untouched nature and National Forest, yet only 1 mile from the main ranch, where coffee, tea and WiFi and solar showers awaits.

No power, no internet there., just mowed space and a camping loo is in a shelter, camp fire pit and two (2) 5 gallon drinking water containers. - that's it. AT&T cell connection works up there.

These remote "In Nature"  are neither suitable nor intended for small children!

Bring your own firewood, charcoal, cooler with ice , your own food and drink etc, sleeping bags for your tents, etc. We attempt to keep some firewood and charcoal up there, but it is better to ask upfront.

No pets, no 4-wheeler driving within our fenced land parcel, but there are plenty of dirt roads all around, since it is surrounded by National Forest. No smoking in the cabin, no shooting or hunting.

Check-in between 4 pm and 9 pm FIRM - we will show you around the main ranch / campground, before taking you up to settle you in at the site. Please, do not just text me when you have arrived. Introduce yourself in person at my door. The gate to the pasture should be kept closed to prevent unannounced surprises.

Plenty Star Ranch,  along Hwy 385, 9.5 miles S. of Custer, near all the popular sites in the Black Hills, is a private home, offering a few camp sites, a very peaceful  place, welcoming travelers, campers, bikers and hikers from all around the world.

We enjoyed staying at Plenty Star in nature tent site. The property was beautiful and we liked being tucked away from the busy road. It was was a short drive back to the main area where we could have tea/coffee in the morning and shower. I definitely recommend this site if you are looking for something more private and peaceful.

Excellent stay! gorgeous private camping site, nice hike to a view, generous and welcoming hosts. If you’re looking for a very private and beautiful camping site in an otherwise quite crowded park, this is your spot! Would definitely stay again.
