We have two cabin tents in the woods off a gravel road bordering the homestead.

Each is constructed with wood floors, a metal roof and a 12ft x 18ft canvas tent, like those used by large game hunting parties in the Northwest.

Each tent is furnished with two bunk cots and a double air mattress (sleeps 4).

There is also a full camp kitchen in each; with camp stove, dishwashing area, storage, cookware, dishes, utensils, etc. A small table for eating, games, etc is inside, with a picnic table outside. A wood stove provides warmth and hot water in winter, or ambiance anytime.

Also in each tent is a curtained corner with a compost toilet. Outside, there is a water faucet and a "shower shack" with hot water and even a heater for winter.. The water is solar pumped to the site and heated with propane.

Canvas chairs on the front porch provide a relaxing place to just sit and enjoy the solitude.

These covered tents are a perfect compromise for wanting to be surrounded by nature, while having a comfortable shelter. Complete with beds, a kitchen and restroom, these sites are an incredible find. Would highly recommend checking them out while in South Carolina!

Walking out of the cabin, into the surrounding forest. The exterior of one of two cabin tents available. A reference for size/scale of tent cabin.

The tent was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. They are situated down in a little glade. Bill and Mary were friendly and helpful. The children enjoyed trying their hand at goat milking and cooing over the adorable baby goats.

These cabin tents have EVERYTHING. Bill and Mary were great hosts. Everything was really new and clean and I wish I had another night to really settle in and enjoy it as well as explore the area a little. If I am back in this area again I will definitely be back!

The host greeted us upon arrival and showed us the place where the campsite was located. He (Bill) gave us the layout of the land and the wall tent. We were very impressed with the tent and what it came stocked with.

I highly recommend a stay at Thus Far Farm. Bill and Mary are lovely and accommodating and they have really thought of everythjng to make the stay pleasant. The cabin has everything you could ever need. We camped over two 30 degree nights, and the wood stove kept us perfectly comfortable and Bill made sure we were well stocked with wood. I would go back in a heartbeat.
