Cool little spot. Horses are nearby if you want to meander over and take a close look at them. The only warning really is that there are about 1,000 noisey frogs next to you so I you need to get to bed early and can’t sleep through some “ribbit ribbit ribbit” then you may have trouble. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay.
This was a great spot for us. Flat, grassy site next to pond. There was some trash left by the previous guests but it was otherwise clean and shaded.
Great location for local beach access and for driving into Beaufort/Savannah/Charleston.
What a great little spot! Nice and quiet, and the horses were great company. A far better experience than I would have had next to a bunch of RVs at the nearby state park. Definitely recommend!
Lowcountry Camping is located off the beaten track on a peaceful part of the island. With the beach being just down the road, it's a great secluded spot to make camp away from the crowds of typical RV and campsites. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of it all. The horses are a great sight to wake up. Important to note that there are no bathrooms on this site, and the nearest store, gas station, etc was about a 10 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend this listing!
We had such a great time! Perfect, peaceful place for a lovely weekend getaway. Loved the pond & horses, there were plenty of spaces to set up a tent. I recommend bringing a table & chairs, but the fire pit was great, there were even some sticks waiting for us when we got there - very rustic site but still a lot of privacy. Totally recommend, we would definitely come back!
