This campsite was great! The field/pasture was lovely and the woods provided some good wind protection (we tent camped in January). He had a pile of firewood for us, and an outhouse stocked with toilet paper! Great spot, good communication from John.
This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was secluded enough to let our dog run around. Easy to find, directions were perfect. The location is beautiful. At the back of a large pasture. Can camp in the woods or field. John was a wonderful host. Made sure we knew where we were going and had firewood waiting for us. I highly recommend!
Primitive camping with a well kept outhouse. This is a basic camping area, but well maintained and cleared. Host communicated quickly and has a reasonable rate. Camped in the woods, never saw any major pests. Felt safe.
We were a super last-minute booking, which I felt bad about-- but John was so kind, responded really quickly, & even brought us some firewood. The spot was perfect in the woods behind a huge field, with an awesome wide view of the sky. Not to mention a clean outhouse stocked with tp. would definitely recommend!!
We had a great time. There was privacy, firewood, an outhouse. I would recommend the site, but the picture of a kayaker is a bit misleading. The property is not on water. We brought our kayaks but did not use them.
Pretty easy to find entrance even in the dark, easy to follow road back to the camping spot. A better outhouse than any other I've used and not filled with spiders. It's a very nice pasture and in the morning there were deer in the field.
