Dark Horse Farm proved to be a wonderful farm and outdoor experience. The hosts were warm and welcoming and the property is beautiful and serene. It is a working farm property located on an old dairy farm so we enjoyed interacting with their horses, watching chickens, and having the resident cat say hello. Guests have the option of setting up closer to their house among tall pines (perfect for hammock camping) with a view overlooking the horse pasture and amazing sunsets. If you want a more secluded campsite, you can set up in one of the many spots scattered around their 52 acres. Our favorite in particular was the area down by the creek - it was completely secluded and surrounded by tall, beautiful trees, and the sound of the gently running water was the perfect backdrop. Dark Horse Farm would be ideal for families wanting a weekend camping trip, a local troop, or someone wanting a reprieve from noise and traffic. Wonderful place.

Dip those Chacos in the creek! So many great options for hammock camping on the property. Getting to know the horses at Dark Horse Farm. The stoic old pines are a gorgeous spot for relaxing and taking in the views.
