Easy & relaxing 👍
I enjoyed my 4 day stay and would stay again. It's a unique experience with the many animals. I especially liked being able to hang a hammock next to the creek.
Ever want to be alone???
If you ever wanted to wake up and look out your window and see cows grazing in front of you this is the place for you. Iwas the most relaxing weekend we had ever had in a long time. We could no put down our ground cover because there were cow patties but that did not matter. There is a fishing hole on the property and I could forget my troubles for a weekend. Linda our host made sure we were ok and then never heard from them again. There are thousands of acres to explore and I would do that if I had a 4WD pickup but we found a nieghboring tenter who gave us a tour in his truck. Water buffalo, pigs, turkey, raccoons, armadillos, blue crabs all were seen.
Perfect camping trip
I LOVED my stay here! We got to see cows, pigs, even a rare bird species was living right by our site. There are 2 other sites nearby, but no one was staying there so we had a very private stay. There is an outhouse, picnic tables, and 2 big fire pits. The tent site was in a wooded area between a big field and a marsh/creek. It was gorgeous, peaceful, and I will definitely be coming back.
Best ever rugged camping
This was my second time staying at this site. The marsh and cow field are both just steps away and the site is in a wooded corner area of the land. If you’re looking for an all natural camping experience (with an equipped outhouse) this is a hidden gem in the area. Picnic table and fire pits are also at the site. The view of the sky from the field at night is spectacular. Be aware that cows and pigs are free range and may come by your camp! But they don’t cause any problems. We felt completely safe and had an amazing time.
Peaceful stay on farm
We had a great stay at Hanscombe Point Plantation!
Linda was very accommodating and met us at the gate of the property to direct us to the campsite even though we had a late arrival. We had the campsite to ourselves for the weekend aside from some cows, pigs, and their sweet dog Rosie. There was an awesome firepit, but unfortunately it rained most of our stay so we didn't get to use it. The property is an easy 30 minute drive to Folly Beach, so we were able to get in a lot of beach time. We are looking forward to staying here again.
