We are a family farm in a small town out in the sticks. We own right about 90 acres of family land that is part farm and part woods. Our property does go back to a small creek that is great for relaxing and enjoying with friends. We are also only 3 miles from a major river for swimming, fishing, or boating. Also conveniently located to Columbia, Greenville, Lake Murray, and much more. While you are on the farm we hope that you can enjoy all of the animals that we have and raise here. We have cows, goats, sheep, pigs, turkeys, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. So lots of variety. We raise all of these in a holistic and natural way, out on pasture. They are given no antibiotics, hormones, steroids, or medications. We raise them for meat and when they are ready to process we take them to a processor here in the state and bring that meat back to the farm to sell retail to customers and wholesale to restaurants and farm stores in the area. Be sure to stock up on some of our meats during your stay. (Note: All of our meats are frozen, but can be pre-ordered and pre-thawed for your visit if you let us know in advance.) If you have any questions please just let us know. We will try to answer any question that you may have about our farm. Learn more about this land: We are a family farm in small town South Carolina. Visit the Farm - BYO Camper
Mixed feelings
I rented Brandon and Sarah's camper for my daughter and 3 kids. I also rented a site beside their camper for my own camper. First the positives: the camper was very nice, the kid's play area lovely, the ducks, turkeys, pigs, and chickens terrific, and the dark night sky amazing! Upon renting, I was warned that there were dogs loose on the property protecting the animals and that there was no place for me to empty my grey and black water tanks. The negatives: lots of red ant piles all over the property and one of the dogs was young, friendly, and not well trained, and chased my grandkids, actually hurting one of them. Upon asking if something could be done, Brandon said no but then they did put the dog in a cage for the rest of the visit. I felt really bad for the dog. The dog just needs some training. Third negative: no dump station, even though they do have a station at the back of the house but refuse to let guests use it. It cost quite a bit to rent a space and yet not be able to dump the waste. Overall, we loved the country but just be aware of those issues.

Visit to the Farm-Rent Our Camper
Peaceful time at the farm
Sarah and Brandon are wonderful hosts and always happy to share their knowledge and answer all our questons. We can't wait to have another chance to spend a few days in their farm. We stayed in the RV they rent and enjoyed such a peaceful time surrounded by nature. At the same time, we had so much fun around the farm with all the animals and trails to walk. My kids were so happy and never bored. There is a stream less than a mile from the RV that we really enjoyed exploring. Also there are lots of things to do around the area. We really liked Newberry, which is less than 20 minutes away and there are a couple reservoirs (Monticello and Parr). We loved our stay!

Visit the Farm - Tent Camp
Brandon is a great host. He met us upon arrival and showed the campsites and brought firewood. After everything was set up he took the grandsons on a tour of the farm. I choose Bowers Farm because this was the boys first time camping and thought the surroundings would keep them occupied. I recommend staying there but be aware the sites are in the open and near the farm house. We all enjoyed the weekend.
