Edgehill Camping is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, occasionally, so dogs on leashes at all times please. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater to large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Important Information to know before booking: All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. FIRE BAN SEASON ENDS 30TH APRIL 2024 . COMFORT FIRES ONLY PLEASE !!! Please supply your own wood. Strictly no chainsaws. generators only allowed on the unpowered sites. Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times. If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking. We also operate another Hipcamp situated 25km North of Robertstown, ideal for mostly 4WD and off road campers. If it may be of interest, please search Bright Burra Creek.

Milky Way Hut

Loved it!

Loved everything about Edgehill Farm Stay. Trish and Peter are warm, lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Property is amazing and felt very private - lots of space between camp sites. Can't recommend more highly.

Hills View Paddock

There’s lots of space between campers, so it was quite peaceful. We had the hillsview site and it was the perfect view. Trish met us at the gate and drove us to the site which was super helpful because I’m terrible at following site maps. Stress free from booking to arriving to departing.

Hill Side Paddock

I loved my stay here at Edgehill Farm Stay! Trish and Peter were so welcoming and introduced me to the other campers as I was travelling solo. There is plenty of space here, the drop toilets were great and the sunsets were amazing. The sunset baa is a super cute feature. I highly recommend staying here and hope to make it back some day! Big thank you to Trish, Peter and the other guests who made me feel so welcome.

Shady Acre

Our camp ground is huge for two, perfect for big group! Stunning sunset view at the camp ground and don’t forget to visit the Sunset Baa! Trish & Peter are amazing host! Very lovely and friendly people! Highly recommended for everyone :)

Hill Side Paddock

We really enjoyed our stay over the Easter period at Hillside Paddock. Even though it was dry and no grass, we enjoyed the quiet and witnessed some lovely sunsets. We did some day trips from the property and Trish was a lovely friendly host.
