Edgehill Camping is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, occasionally, so dogs on leashes at all times please. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater to large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Important Information to know before booking: All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. FIRE BAN SEASON ENDS 30TH APRIL 2024 . COMFORT FIRES ONLY PLEASE !!! Please supply your own wood. Strictly no chainsaws. generators only allowed on the unpowered sites. Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times. If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking. We also operate another Hipcamp situated 25km North of Robertstown, ideal for mostly 4WD and off road campers. If it may be of interest, please search Bright Burra Creek.

Tiny Creek Paddock

Great location and views. Very cool games area for the kids and great exploring opportunities. Very friendly and helpful host.

Campers Cave

Lovely April stay

It was a lovely site. Tish was very welcoming. We parked at the top of the hill at the sunset bar cooking dinner and chatting to other campers. We stayed at the cove campsite. It was private and far away from others, but it is a little bit of a thoroughfare to the other sites, so just bear in mind if you are getting changed in the morning or something! Close walkable distance to the toilet. Would stay again for sure. Thanks trish!

Twin Creeks

What an amazing experience. Trish met us on entry and drove with us to locate the camp spot. Magnificent site- one of many. Clean drop toilets with a view! Loads of space between us and other campers. Highly recommend this place. Great location to explore wineries. Our fav Hipcamp so far. 5 stars. Thanks for sharing your property.

Picnic Paddock

It was our second stay at the property and we loved camping at Picnic Paddock. The view of the nearby hills was spectacular as were the brilliant sunsets. We walked to the top of ridge for spectacular panoramic views of the property and surrounding countryside. The other campers nearby were far enough away not to be heard and maintained privacy. Trish and Peter are excellent hosts. Trish met us on arrival to show us to our designated campsite. We will definitely be returning to Edgehill Farm.
