4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

The Haven Cabin
Hope Valley Camping
We love this property, so peaceful and tranquil. Lots of room and Anita is always friendly and accommodating. We have been here twice now and will come back again. Great to be able to have the dog with us. Good camping spots and beautiful cabins. Having the creek through the property is also a wonderful bonus.

Big Logs
Loved the privacy and seclusion
We were after a quiet nature getaway and we definitely got that. Originally we tried to book Tall Gums but had issues using the gift card code when booking, so I cancelled it and hoped to rebook when it was fixed but the site remained 'booked'. I emailed Anita twice with no reply. As the weekend got closer I decided to book Big Logs so we didn't miss out on a spot and ended up much preferring that site when we got there and saw Tall Gums. We really liked having a large open area and complete privacy. The other positives: huge fire pit we didn't use as it was too hot those days, beautiful shallow shaded creek to dip in to cool off, the cattle about were calm and not spooked by us, we enjoyed walking along the road to explore and get some exercise in, we liked we didn't get checked in on by the host (again, the privacy factor!), wildlife was abundant and it felt like a true bush camping experience. Feedback would be after lots of rain to rough mow a patch of grass for the size of the party coming and down toward to the creek and to the fire pit; the seedy grass was so long and often wet, making it hard to utilise the large space and meant extra precaution and worry to prevent ticks etc. We weren't comfortable using the creek as drinking water, it's a cattle farm afterall. And the site description had mentioned the option of camping on the other side of the creek but we couldn't see where that would be so that was a bit odd but didn't impact our experience.

Tall Gums
Like seeing the animals roam freely
The stay was very peaceful at tall gums which was on the waters edge. It was great to be able to let the dogs roam and not be on the lead. Though our dogs are quite well behaved and stayed close to camp. We did a few walks around the property to see the other camps for future reference. We picked a good time as it wasn't to many people around which we liked. Plenty of timber for camp fires. This time of year it is lovely and green and the place looked picturesque.

As a group our fourth trip to stay on Anita’s land. It’s always a great trip. The sites are large, always peaceful and Anita is a great host.
