Explore the magic of Mission Beach and surrounds. Relax on the shady jetty overlooking the dam and lilies. Take a rainforest walk and maybe even see a cassowary! Fenby Gap is a flat, grassy camp area suitable for self sufficient campers. Campfires welcome. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water. The property is located just a 3 minute drive to the township of Mission Beach, where you can relax on the pristine beaches, visit the local tavern, explore the boutiques along the main street and dine at some fantastic restaurants. Set 2 hours drive from Townville and 2 hours drive from Cairns, this is the perfect spot to set up camp and enjoy tropical north Queensland. No pets please.

Terrible track in

Bad experience for what was planned to be a wonderful time ,no one there on arrival ,when we did arrive and took the only track in with our 23ft caravan the track was very wet and boggy and subsequently the car and caravan became bogged . Rang owner Bill for assistance ,informed us he was away and to do the best we can . No assistance ,no apologies ,no comment on possible refund. No previous warning was given as such it took us 3 hours to get finally out and we left the property and had to find accommodation urgently in Mission Beach late in the afternoon .We finally found a caravan park at extra cost to us . The owner should have made us aware of the muddy & boggy conditions long before arrival to allow cancellation and refund. Would not recommend this Hipcamp to anyone

You’ll never want to leave.

Where do I start? From the assistance we received from Bill’s family upon check in on Tuesday we knew we’d hit the jackpot with this booking. Despite arriving in the rain we made it to the spot and awoke to beautiful blue skies which we then had for the rest of our stay. Having the whole space to ourselves was absolute bliss. Every night we had a fire and sat around looking up at the stars. We were close to all of the beaches and towns which made exploring east. My hubby and I didn’t want to leave - ever. Thank you so much to Bill for providing this spot to travellers like us. We’ll definitely be back next year once we’ve finished our lap of Aus.

Spacious, private and peaceful!

This spot is beautiful. It is very spacious, private and peaceful. We had 5 wonderful nights there and had the whole place to ourselves. The fireflies at night were a bonus! Bill was a perfect host.
