We have 2 secluded, absolute River frontage camp sites for group bookings (or you can have them to yourself!) Each one is a private site and large enough for 5 vehicles and up to 3 vans. Our farm is in the picturesque Scenic Rim Shire. The sites are turfed and mowed so you can just laze on the grass and listen to the crystal clear rapids. Enjoy great swimming holes in a truly beautiful part of Australia! We are just a few miles down stream from Darlington Park. One of the greatest attractions is the amazing night sky. Because the fire pit area is down near the rapids, the high river bank blocks out the city’s lights and glow. It is common to see more than one shooting star in a night. A good time to view the night sky is a week either side of the new moon. If you find out (Google) when the ISS is going overhead and get to view it, you will be in awe, as we have been. A week or so up to a full moon is ideal for gatherings. The moon reflecting on the water and lighting up the campgrounds, the fire pit blazing and the aroma of the cook-ups the boys are doing will surely create a delightful atmosphere for your party. GEM is a very private and peaceful site with lots of shade for the summer months! It's a perfect group site nestled on the banks of the Albert River. GEM is surrounded by native vegetation either side of the campsite. Callistemons (Red Bottlebrush), native ferns, grasses and flowers grace the river banks. You can explore or just let the charm of nature’s beauty embrace you. My hubby Bruce and I have been farming here since ‘85 and love the climate and landscape. We use our Hipcamps a lot ourselves and are enjoying sharing our 2 x water front camp sites with you. We will do our best to make your stay pleasurable and are happy to share with you what we have so enjoyed for all these years. There is a lot to do and see in the Scenic Rim area, so pick up some information at Beaudesert museum or Information centre on the way, or just chill ! Dayspring has a deep swimming hole and you can camp right near the water and enjoy the sound as you cook on the fire pit.

Peaceful private group campsite

Gem Discovery is amazing, do yourself a favour and book this site! It would easily accommodate a lot more people (we had 7) and the shade, common gazebo and beautiful sound of the running creek alongside is a perfect weekend retreat. Super close to Brisbane and plenty of spots on the way out to buy extra firewood. Sue is a bloody fantastic human and such a great host, the hammocks and small touches are an insight into the beautiful, hard working heart of Australia she represents.

Secluded, private and beautiful

Sue is an absolute lovely host, so accommodating and goes above and beyond to make the nice little touches to make your stay special, with a few hammocks and chairs waiting for us to use during our stay. We have been before with a group of mates, decided to go back with just us and the dogs and it was just wonderful. Will definitely be back again.
