The Squirrel
Best word to describe our stay. A
We stayed there 3 nights and its the best place I have ever camped 3 nights was not long enough. Nancy and her husband Bill are very nice and made us feel so welcome, I cannot thank them enough. I will be going back there again and again. I recommend any one that want's a beautiful place to camp and hospitality to go with it, to go there for sure.

The Squirrel
I was very impressed by the Purple Squirrel forest experience. Our host, Nancy, gave great directions, and was extremely accommodating to our extenuating circumstances. She even presented us with a gift of dog treats for our pups and veggie snacks to top it all off. The beautiful forested site is very well kept and has all the amenities - grill, nice fire pit, ultra clean porta potty, electric lights and a hose. I fell asleep to the sound of frogs from the landscaped pond. Incredible to find this kind of sanctuary so close to civilization! Would definitely return and would recommend to friends.

Wonderful experience
We had a wonderful one-night stay at Purple Squirrel Forest. Nancy and Bill were gracious and helpful hosts. This site has some budding magic to it.

The Purple Squirrel forest
Our stay at the Purple Squirrel was great, Nancy was very welcoming and responsive. She came out to greet us quickly upon arrival and made us feel quite comfortable. She took our bags into a ranger and gave us a tour around her property which has plenty of woods and remnants of an abandoned coal mine. There was a hose for water which was cold and clean and a camper that we were allowed to use for no extra charge. Overall, I loved this place and definitely plan to return.
