A relaxing spot to unwind.
The Pond was a nice and quite getaway for us. There are several spots with fire rings and picnic table access within the sparse trees. There's also a wide open area with a nice fire ring setup for cooking. The pond area is full of frogs, bass and other critters. The dogs loved playing in the creek and walking the property. We'll be back for sure and we'll bring some friends with us next time.
Wonderful spot to get away. We stayed in the upper spot and it was lovely. Campfires and stars are the best entertainment on a fall weekend. Didn’t have any trouble finding the site. Sites are scattered and not too close together. We definitely will go back.
Nice night at the pond
It was great camping at the pond! We arrived super late at night and were really just using it as a stop over on a long road trip, but waking up this morning it was clear the site and surrounding pastoral areas were beautiful. Jonathan was super responsive when I was contacting him. even in the dead of night the site was easy to find with Jonathan’s written instructions. The site is really nice, super well maintained and we camped in a really nice tree grove. Overall we were really pleased with our experience. Thanks Jonathan!
So much more than you pay for!
Wow! Beautiful location, just out of the way enough. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves and enjoyed roaming around in the sunshine and the rain. Plenty of space if you have a large group. Nice spots for tents and small RVs. Jonathan was a gracious host and stopped by to say hello (he texted to let us know he’d be mowing the grass in the distance) and to let us know we didn’t have to rush with checkout. Really considerate. Fast communication upon arrival when I drove past the entrance. :-) We’d love to return!
The Pond was awesome. There was plenty of camp space for a large group of friends and I and we had the area all to ourselves. The fire wood and fire pits where great, along with the picnic bench. It wasn't the most secluded or had the prettiest views, but it was perfect for a night camping trip on the road with a large group!
