It was awesome, very well-maintained and multiple picnic tables and fire pits. It was a great experience There is even a little ice cream shop down the street which we went to and it was nice to have a bathroom at the facility that was clean

Lovely spots in the middle of a wonderful valley with space for quite a few camp setups. Very quite at night. Great little pond. We just can't say enough nice things about this spot.

Jonathan's land is absolutely amazing. It was set up and cleared just like a campground, but with the solitude of an individual camp. We were able to set up in multiple areas to give the kids a playground area, and the field was perfect for me to set up for some astronomy. There was plenty of firewood, and the pond was a ton of fun to fish in (catch and release of course!). I could not think of a better way to spend our holiday weekend and I really look forward to the next trip!
As a host, Jonathan was very responsive and not intrusive in the slightest. This is definitely one of our favorite sites to-date!

This is an awesome place this is the second year in a row we have stayed here. Johnathan is a great host and the property is well maintained. He even stocked the pond so if you enjoy fishing this is the spot for you.

Overland Camping at The Pond
We went with a group of 11 and everyone loved The Pond. There was plenty of room for tents. We enjoyed hiking and catching fish. The site was clean and quiet (aside from occasional traffic on the road). We had several questions for Jonathan before our trip and he always responded very quickly. It was a nice weekend get away! Thank you, Jonathan!

I’m afraid to praise this place too much because the secret will be out. We had the best time this past weekend, enjoyed walking the trails around the property and caught a few fish in the pond, the kids loved it!

Thanks for sharing your lovely property with us, Jonathan, it's a really special place! I can't imagine a more perfect camping spot. The woods to explore, the pond, the views of the sky...
The kids loved looking for salamanders, we all loved kayaking in the pond (my sister brought hers!) We chose to set up in the upper site - plenty of room for three tents and lots of chairs around the fire. Appreciated having the option to spread out if we wanted to.

Absolutely love it here! Gorgeous star gazing after the sun goes down and beautiful scenery across the various farm lands as the sun comes up. Some nice open areas and flat land for Kan-Jam. The porta potty was a welcomed addition and super convenient. Jon is always very communicative and helpful. We will be back!

This was our first time using hipcamp with a group of people instead of just the two of us and this property was great for that! Beautiful scenery, you can hear a clip clop of horse and buggies drive by way in the distance, everything was peaceful, and the port-o-potty was much appreciated. Jonathan and his dog Cherry came to do some work on the property in the after noon and they both were very nice, Jonathan is very easy to talk to and really appreciates the outdoors and is awesome for sharing this property with all of us. We drive a VW camper van and really likes that we could pull right up to our campsite by the pond. Thank you again Jonathon!

Very nice, private and quiet spot in a wooded glen between two farms. We chose the spot in the woods and found a level spot for our rooftop tent. Everything was well maintained. There are a couple of open areas with nice vistas and, of course, the pond.

It was a beautiful location in the mountains, surrounded by farmland. It was nice and secluded, yet there were a few stores like the dollar store only a few minutes away. The porta potty was spotless and stocked with toilet paper. There was also plenty of fire wood cut up for us. Jonathon stopped by on Saturday and was very friendly. He made sure that we had everything we needed and was very nice. The only complaint about the camp was about the pond. It was beautiful but almost impossible to fish in. There was a few big fish in there according to Jonathan, but the pond was so overgrown with algae and weeds. Every time we would cast in a bunch of weeds would come
Up as well. Jonathan did say he plans on stocking the pond and cleaning it out completely soon, but as of now it was not worth fishing.

We couldn't have asked for a better spot to camp. Jonathan's site was perfect for our group of 12. It's a nice, private location with TONS of room to spread out but still have a communal spot near the fire to hang out. There was plenty of wood for building a fire, but be prepared for it to be wet and I highly recommend bringing an axe. The port-a-john was nice and clean. Great views of farm land and definitely check out Hall's Ice Cream about 20 mins away. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

A very pretty spot by the pond! Lots of firewood, a clean and lovely campsite, and room to wander and explore. It was a bit closer to the road and therefore louder than expected - we could hear cars and trucks driving by but we got used to it quickly and it didn't bother us at all. A very nice spot!

We had a great weekend at The Pond! The site was a bit closer to the road than we expected, but we enjoyed hearing the horse and buggies pass and there were very few cars so it still felt peaceful and private enough. We were also able to set up camp in an area that felt secluded. The porta potty was extremely clean and convenient, and we loved cooking over the fire pit and eating at the picnic table. Jonathan was really helpful and quick to respond to questions. We would definitely camp here again!

The Pond has been the top campsite in PA!!! Definitely recommend! Right next to Tuscarora State Forest, which is beautiful, and great Ice Cream at Halls Ice cream shop! Most importantly, very welcoming host!

Great experience at the Pond! We had three rigs set up at different locations around the property and had plenty of privacy when we wanted it ...and great spots to get together in a very COVID safe way around. Jonathan is a great host!

Our stay at the Pond was wonderful! Everything was as Jonathan had described. We loved the privacy and ability to choose our campsite. We set up by the picnic table in a quiet spot by the trees which was perfect for our hammock.

Jonathan’s property was great. The sites were spread out and each was very nice in their own way. We chose to stay at the site surrounded by trees for our hammock and for the picnic table. Jonathan was very timely in his responses to all my questions prior to our trip. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that wants a quiet night away to camp.

We had such a lovely stay at The Pond. It was a hot weekend but there is ample shade which made it very comfortable cooking and eating outside in the morning and evening (and enjoying a cold beverage in the afternoon!). There are great views of the adjacent farm/farmland. The property is very well maintained - grass appeared to be recently mowed. It was easy to drive our car and camper on the property. We didn't make a fire but there was plenty of firewood. Thanks also to Jonathan for being very responsive to our advance questions and offering some suggestions for local hikes.
