Enjoy tent or overland camping by the pond. Set in a farmland valley about 30 minutes from the Appalachian Trail. Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset through the valley. Catch and release fishing for bass or take a dip in the pond. Take a stroll through the woods and enjoy some of the wildlife such as deer, rabbits, turtles, owls, hawks, woodpeckers, salamanders and more.

30A, 50A and 110 electrical outlet is available at a breaker box closer to the road if you need to plugin. There are three fire pits available. Please use any firewood already cut on the property, or feel free to use any downed trees for firewood. Please do not bring firewood from outside the area.

The neighbor to the east helps keep an eye on the property while I'm away. Please be courteous and keep the volume down after 10PM. Enjoy and leave it better than you found it if possible.

The Pond was a nice and quite getaway for us. There are several spots with fire rings and picnic table access within the sparse trees. There's also a wide open area with a nice fire ring setup for cooking. The pond area is full of frogs, bass and other critters. The dogs loved playing in the creek and walking the property. We'll be back for sure and we'll bring some friends with us next time.

Thank you Cory! By the way, I totally agree that the entrance into the grass needs to be better marked. It's on my to-do list. As is marking the actual campsites so I can change this from dispersed to designated camping areas.

Jonathan's place was a dream. It was exactly what we were looking for in a quick getaway. Not a long drive from the city, but completely great for stargazing. We went on the full moon and were not disappointed. After the insane rain and lightning storm passed, the moon rose beautifully, displacing the remaining clouds. Jonathan was extremely responsive before we got there. Cell service was very spotty, but he has marked the entrance to his property with red reflectors. There is plenty of wood already cut on the property and a few different fire pits - some even with a cooking grate. I would recommend this quiet destination if you're looking to unplug and truly get back to nature..

Had a very enjoyable stay. No complaints. Plenty of firewood. Clean picnic table. And surprisingly had great cell service in case I did need to call for additional directions.

It was a nice 2 day getaway with my dog. I missed the turn a couple of times but arrived just in time before sunset. I got to meet Jonathan and his dog Terry. They were both very warm and receptive to my dog and I. i really appreciate the sharing of the fire burning wood (compliments of Mother Earth) so nicely accessible. And his project on planting more trees on the land sounds fantastic. I would definitely keep this as one of my special places to commune with nature.

Wonderful spot to get away. We stayed in the upper spot and it was lovely. Campfires and stars are the best entertainment on a fall weekend. Didn’t have any trouble finding the site. Sites are scattered and not too close together. We definitely will go back.

We just stayed here for a few nights of winter camping and were very happy with our stay. The directions to the sites were very accurate, everything including the property as a whole was clean and well kept. I highly recommend this property and plan on staying again in the future!

Response from Jonathan, the Host, on April 29th, 2020

Thank you Jonathan! Winter camping can be some of the best experiences as the forest is much different than it is other times of year. The wildlife, smells, sounds and of course the campfire are much more meaningful and make for some awesome times.
