Glamping at the Honey Farm
A perfect farm stay
We had such a wonderful weekend at Summer Smiles Honey Farm! Darci was very communicative, answered all my questions, and was flexible with me through the scheduling of workshops (they offer a handful of really fun/educational workshops right on the farm - we did the beekeeping & blacksmithing). The tiny house was clean and cozy, and the welcome platter was perfect (and delicious). We brought our two pups who loved exploring the farm and getting to know their farm dog, Sis. Truly had an amazing experience and will definitely return to eat more honey and cuddle baby goats :)

Glamping at the Honey Farm
Charming Farm Stay
Adorable spot on a beautiful farm. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed, including coffee for the morning. We woke up in the morning to Sis the dog at the door and Bob the rooster crowing. We went for a walk through the trails on the farm and Sis + our dog played while we enjoyed the views + fresh air. It was a wonderful way to start the day. Darci was helpful and yet we never felt intruded upon. Wonderful host, wonderful spot.

Glamping at the Honey Farm
Loved the Tiny House! It’s tight on the property of the main house and honey farm and is also the same site as the potter’s shed (also listed), which I guess I just didn’t realize. Overall, such a great experience! We got super lucky, timing-wise, and were able to help Darci harvest honey! What a cool experience! The outdoor shower totally made this place a 100% winner for me also. Loved it. Great little getaway.

Glamping at the Honey Farm
Tiny House in the Country
The Summer Smiles Honey Farm was beautiful. We ordered a cheese platter that was supposed to be ready close to our arrival- it instead took a couple of hours which kind of threw off our dinner plans (arrival is at 3pm). We didn’t have any communication about that which was a little frustrating and we texted the host a question about fire wood that wasn’t answered for about an hour and a half. All in all, pretty minor issues and they ended up being resolved. However, we were not clear before our arrival how close the tiny house was to both the host’s home and a secondary guest suite- I think it was referred to as the Potting Shed. If we had been looking for a more communal vibe, this place would’ve rocked but we had gone out with the intent of really having some privacy and unwinding. The close proximity definitely hindered that. We did appreciate that the farm allowed dogs. Though be aware, if you have a grouchy pet, it can be a little challenging to steer clear of Sis (who is a sweet, sweet girl).

The Potting Shed
Amazing Rustic Space For Anyone
The potting shed was everything we dreamed and then some. Just a hour or so outside of Pittsburgh, the Summer Smiles Honey Farm is a breathe of fresh air. It is surrounded by happy farm animals, beautiful hills, and amazing greenery. I would recommend this farm to all my family and friends.
