Great stay! beautiful views, too
We loved staying here! There's so much room to set up wherever you want -- on a mountain, next to a lake, you get the idea. When we arrived, Steve had already set up a fire for us. We later watched fireworks from several neighboring towns from the height of his land. I highly recommend the swing as well as showering at night while watching the stars. If you are looking for a spot near Ricketts Glen or checking this place out for any other reason, definitely take the opportunity to stay here. We got really lucky that we were looking for a campsite within hours of when Steve listed his property.
Cedar Island Lake is a Beautiful Place!! Its quiet, secluded and full of nature! I enjoyed seeing the deer and the white squirrel!! There's trails to hike , a amazing view atop of one of the ridges. A lake where you can swim, fish, kayak or just enjoy the view. The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond making sure there guests had a memorable stay.
A beautiful place & amazing people
Steve and his brother are working together on the land. It was a wonderful experience that is exactly what my friends and I were looking for in a typical packed weekend on the 4th of July. Though, this was perfect privacy. Good land, great people. We will be going again!
A little (big) paradise in pa
We really like our two nights there. Amazing properties. We enjoy the spot near the pond with the fire pit ready for us when we arrived late the first night. Swimming at sunset was a blast !
Amazing experience! Steve and Scott's property is gorgeous, well maintained, and spacious. We were able to pick our own secluded campsite on their huge piece of land, and they brought us fire wood each day. Most importantly, the hosts are incredibly kind and generous people--when my car broke down and we were stranded, it was no problem to extend our reservation and Scott (Steve's brother) took time out of his work day to drive us to a car rental agency. I can't recommend highly enough!!
We have camped 7 out of 10 of the last weekends... this was the best campsite of the Summer... Quiet, beautiful and helpful hosts. What more could you ask for. We will be back.
Steve and Scott are very friendly and accomodating. They offered us 5-6 different sites to choose from, brought a tarp for our tent and firewood. There's a nice pond, a shower and toilets, lots of wild raspberries and blackberries all around the property. We'll definitely come back.
