Our property is located near the tiny village of Glen Hazel, our unique area offers close proximity to many watersports and hiking opportunities.

Visitors can watch bald eagles and osprey as you enjoy kayaking, fishing and nature at this primitive campsite. We have just one site at the moment and plan to add just a few more. Our campsite is very private and includes a fire ring, a picnic table and a trash can. Parking is available right at the site. It's just a 2 minute walk to the northernmost kayak launch on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Several small jack dams will make your kayak experience a delight. We have a private 1 acre pond just a stones throw from the campsite that visitors can enjoy. Fishing is permitted in the pond, no license needed. Fly fishermen will enjoy the thrill of catching native and stocked trout in the most beautiful section on the East Branch of the Clarion River (PA fishing license and trout stamp required).

Nearby is Bendigo State Park that offers picnic areas and swimming in an immaculately kept pool. Just 1 1/2 miles away is the Dam Inn where you can stop for a beer or for a nice dinner on the deck. Adjacent to the campsite is State Gamelands #25. This enormous tract of public land is open to all for hiking, biking and fishing the pristine native trout streams, including Middle Fork, Crooked Creek and several others. Only a 3 mile drive will land you at the East Branch Lake, a seven mile long lake where you can put your boat in and fish, kayak or water ski to your hearts content.

The campsite was great as was Sue and her husband. It truly is a fisherman's paradise. So many great places to fish or just relax at the site listening to the birds and frogs. I caught trout from the river that runs just next to the site and cooked it over a campfire that night. Plenty of privacy but Sue is just up the street, if needed. I will definitely be coming back.

The campsite was easy to access and well-kept. We arrived at night, but we had no problem parking our car (adjacent to the site) and pitching our tent. There were some loud animals nearby who were quite vocal all night (elk or deer possibly? Mating season?) But that was more interesting than a negative. We would definitely recommend this spot and the area is gorgeous.

Great camp site. Very secluded on private property, but close to lots of fishing sites and five minute walk to a kayak launch. Susan and her husband were fantastic, extremely helpful answering any questions and offering recommendations. Would definitely stay again.

This campsite was a dream! Roomy enough for our 8-person tent, a canopy over the picnic table and a cleared area for lounging (or a second tent even!)
The fire ring was a perfect size and Jim came by within the first two hours of our arrival to drop off wood at a great value!
The pond is quiet, and a great place to observe herons, frogs and the beautiful flora! We even saw a beaver during one of our nights by the campfire. The Clarion River is just on the other side of the road, with a short traverse through the tall grasses. Great to hear the water rushing by all night.
We arrived in the late afternoon on a Saturday and just wanted to note that many businesses in nearby towns close early/do not have weekend hours. However, within 20/30 minutes by car, there are gas stations and trading posts. Areas like the Kinzua SkyWalk and the Allegheny National Forest were close enough to make a morning or afternoon adventure out of them as well and we had an absolutely great trip!
