Peace and quiet time
My fiancé and I loved quietness and peacefulness this place brought to us. We enjoyed the fire place, the record player and the board games. The house was very well equipped and clean. Everything was amazing!

Kat’s cabin is the perfect spot for a quiet cozy getaway with the smell of a roaring fire and the sound of a babbling creek! Between the eclectic decor and interesting books inside and the nature trails outside, this is the perfect place to take a tech detox. Even though it’s in a pretty residential neighborhood, it’s in a perfect spot at the edge of the woods that makes you feel secluded. One thing to note in the winter … You can’t control the thermostat (set to 65°) so bring lots of firewood and/or layers of clothes. On the whole, I would highly recommend!

Perfect birthday weekend getaway
Kat is an amazing host, and the cabin is so cute! There was a fire already going when we got there, which was great because it had just started to snow and was very chilly out. We had such a nice time relaxing by the fire and we cooked several meals in the kitchen which was definitely a highlight. We ended up getting almost a foot of snow overnight. It was beautiful and so peaceful. Kat has a shovel and bucket of salt which came in handy 😅 she graciously gave us a few extra hours to leave which we were thankful for since I had to shovel out my car. I definitely want to come back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and to wander in the woods.

House is comfortable and clean. When we arrived our host Kat had the fireplace going so its warm when we arrive that just speaks of the hospitality she has. House has all the things you need from cooking utensils to chairs to put outside. Overall 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend anytime of the year.

Coziest Cabin Ever!
The cabin was a much needed reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city. My fiancé and I really loved our time in the cabin. It was so cozy and once you got the fire going it was warm and toasty. We came in the fall and it was so special. We loved that there was coffee in the cabin, even though Dunkin was a 3 min drive. The hike was not exactly what we expected. We perused the binder she left us and got a general idea of the hike, but once we got out there it was a really hard to follow deer trail. I thought, to my mistake, that there would be trail markers, not at all. We got lost and splintered off the deer trail many times as it was hard to see them when we got to a certain point. Then when we realized we would not see a proper trail for probably miles we turned back, getting lost multiple times. I would not recommend this hike to beginners or people hiking with children. The steep cavern you are hiking in does not have signal and a small injury of a twisted ankle could be much more serious in a place like that. Definitely read the binder, study it because you will not have it with you and you will not have service for google maps.
