Hawkins Hollow
Great big flat mountaintop site
Great experience. The camp site was at the top of a mountain and had lots of flat space for tents, fires, etc. The owner has cleared a lot of the land and made it very accommodating. The height of the site gave way to beautiful views for miles around. The rock drive up the hillside was serious, highly recommend an ATV or similar to get up and down, esp. with lots of gear. Also some bug spray for the gnats. Had a great time, highly recommend.

Hawkins Hollow
Great views, peaceful setting. An abundance of butterflies, wildflowers, milkweed (along with monarch butterfly caterpillars!). Hike was a pretty intense workout with the weight of our backpacking packs, but in a good way. It is definitely a solid incline, and a couple times took me a good 20 minutes (we did some day excursions so we went up and down from the csmpsite to our cars several times throughout our stay). Stars were amazing. Misty mornings were very peaceful.

Plum Run
What the!!
Went to site on map and there was no site. Asked a person outside if their house adjacent to the site if they knew where it was and they had no idea. It was 8pm and I had driven 10 hours. I contacted host and they never replied. I was stranded in middle of nowhere with no cell reception at times and felt unsafe. Ended up driving to a legit camp ground nearby. I want my money back

Hawkins Hollow
Hawkins Hollow was perfect for what I was looking for. It is a beautiful property and a great place to bird/nature watch. I would highly recommend this place to any campers looking for a secluded and scenic location in the vicinity of the area's many attractions.

Beautiful isolated campsite perfect
Beautiful isolated campsite, perfect if you would like to have your dog off leash, we were the only ones up there :-) really nice view and if you have four-wheel-drive you can carefully drive all the way to the top of the ridge! Will definitely be back this place is so beautiful :-)
