I've camped a lot in my life. Everything about this camping trip FAR exceeded all expectations. First and foremost, the host, Fawn, and her stepmother, Dixie, were incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. They were so sweet, provided a ton of information about local attractions, and shared their rich family history with us. Everyone felt right at home.

We stayed at two of the three sites (#2 and #3 at the top of the meadow) which were extremely well-maintained and the view overlooking rolling hills and mountains was GORGEOUS. At night, Starlight lived up to its name and gave us an incredible show - we saw countless shooting stars and a very visible band of the Milky Way arched across the sky.

There is a remarkable hiking trail nearby called Jensen's Ledges (~15 minute drive from the campgrounds) that Fawn recommended. There are really unique cairns along the trail near the top (and a huge waterfall!). Once you reach the overlook, you have a beautiful vista of the river. About 5 minutes from the camp site, you can find other waterfalls and small swimming holes that do not disappoint.

Everything was perfect. We are already planning our next trip here! I'm telling *everyone* I know about this gem. Thank you, Fawn!

Lots of wildlife, soft spots for tents, and well maintained fire pits. So much more was offered than I expected since it’s advertised as a very minimal site. I’ll be so excited to return to this site over others that are so crowded with other campers.

Great site, beautiful field. We got in late, but I'm sure amazing for sunset. Would definitely come back.

Dawn and her stepmother, Dixie, were wonderful hostesses! They were friendly, helpful, and VERY generous. The sites are pretty close together and don’t have much cover, so this isn’t for those looking for seclusion. That said, on a clear night the stars will take your breath away and we saw the moon rise each night. Make sure you’re prepared for toileting. Two of the three sites are in a field so bring sun shelter - but make sure you stake everything down well because you’re on a hill (with spectacular views!) and should prepare for strong wind. It was refreshing and gave us a nice break from the September sun. The fire pits are dug into the ground and well maintained. Not a speck of trash - the land is pristine! There are neighbors nearby but we rarely saw them. We saw a bunch of wildlife - deer, a whole flock of turkeys, and a bald eagle. Remember to keep a clean site - this is bear country. If you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, Fawn can point you to some great off-roading including a beautiful waterfall! We had a fantastic Labor Day weekend here and will be back! Thank you, Fawn and Dixie (and Sadie and Bella)! ❤️

We enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful corner of PA that we’ve never been to. Reasonable price, and nice that they provide firewood, water to put out the fire and some potable water. The neighbors did light some fireworks pretty late, but hopefully that’s not a frequent occurrence!

Response from Fawn, the Host, on September 15th, 2020

Thank you Jonah. I felt bad about the fireworks. Since this is our first year doing this, we were not really aware of the neighbors habits. Apparently, they visit on long weekends and like to have fireworks. I will have to add this to my listing...fireworks on long weekends. We are so glad you enjoyed our space.
