Pitch a tent under the trees and watch the horses in the pasture. Or if you like bring your horses with you.  Wake up to guineas making noise to get the day started. Plan the day of sitting around under the trees reading a good book or hiking at the close state game lands or Michaux State Forest. You can hike, bike, horseback ride or bring a dirt bike to ride on the many trails. Or be so inclined to go to the small town of Gettysburg with it quaint crafty stores. And after dark learn history or the Battle of Gettysburg and get scary by the ghost stories. The pace can be as fast or slow as you want. The main house is close to cover your needs but far enough away to give you privacy. My land is about 20 acres of pasture and woods. There is plenty of cedar trees to give you the smell of the forest. I love to bake pies, cakes cookies and candy depending on the season.

Fantastic. Glad this was my first booking on hipcamp. Great location, convenient to Gettysburg downtown and attractions.
I had an outstanding time. Thoroughly enjoyed the farm setting, animals and the outstanding host. Darr went way above and beyond to make sure I had a good trip.
I parked my camper closer to the house, I was close enough to the road to hear the occasional car go by, but this doesn't really bother me. If you were packing out a tent, you've got a lot more room to chose from.
Gettysburg is amazing, this farm is great and is home to a great host.

We cannot say enough about Darr and her property. We were welcomed and allowed to pick our campsite. If you're a horse lover, you will just LOVE it here. The horses are so sweet! I had just retired, so after spending three days there, I decided to spend another week... could not have been a better place to enjoy a retirement retreat. We'll be back!

We had an amazing time. My city kiddos made memories they will never forget with the horses and Ms. Darr. This was only our 2nd time booking with hipcamp, and I was so happy I did. Definitely great for horse lovers. Darr was an amazing host.

Darr is delightful! She is a piemaker but, when she didn’t have a chance to bake she went out and got me an excellent one! I would stay with her again with pleasure.

Darr is the sweetest peraon! The campsite beautiful, easy, and thoughfully provisioned with electricity and water available if needed. She went above and beyond to let our kids have a special experience, and was willing to visit some with ua too. And she made us pie! If you wver get a chance to come here, it is a lovely place to stay!

Darr was a wonderful host! The spot was just right. We were close to Gettysburg National Park, what a delight! She shared a lot of the local history with us and was willing to field all of our questions. On top of that she brought us a beautiful apple pie and said "a little taste of Pennsylvania". I highly recommend this spot.
Thank you Darr, we had a great stay.

Darr was a fantastic host!! Excellent communication!! We didn’t require much, but we certainly appreciated the portable potty that was set up for us 😊 We chose your park furthest away from the house for some added privacy. The site is near a road so there is the sound of cars, but we didn’t mind. The horses were beautiful and the surroundings enjoyable to look out on. Perfect for what we needed for the weekend and we would highly recommend!

We have had a great stay with Darr! Highly recommended to anyone heading that way. She is a lovely soul to meet and she makes great pies! Place was clean and organized. Beautiful farm with horses. We enjoyed watching horses and sipping coffee in the morning. Very relaxing atmosphere! The place has a fire pit big enough for 8-10 people. There was already some firewood next to the pit that was a nice and convenient surprise for us. We have had some lovely memories during our stay, looking forward to going back there!

Darr was wonderful! We were on motorcycles and she offered to let us use the barn to store them for the night, as there was a thunderstorm looming when we got to the farm. If only there were more hosts like Darr out there!
