We have a very quiet cattle and horse farm away from the main road where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors. Our area includes a covered pavilion which is enclosed on three sides. There is electric at the pavilion, lights, ceiling fan and a refrigerator for you to use. We even have an antique wood stove were you can try your hand at cooking. Also, at the pavilion are several picnic tables and benches, a brick barbecue grill, a fire pit and a swing set with a slide for the kids and horseshoe pits. Sorry, but there is no running water at the pavilion - please bring drinkable water, we can supply you with water from our hydrant at the barn for other uses. We are less than a mile from the York County Heritage Rail Trail and 4 miles from the Steam Into History Train Excursion in New Freedom.

If you are in need of camping supplies, we do offer rental of 3 different size tents, a propane stove, a few cooking pots & utensils, and a peculator coffee pot.  You are responsible for setting up the tents and taking them down.  We do NOT supply any sleeping bags, pillows or air mattresses.

Near the house is a nice pond where you can fish or use the paddle boat. If you are feeling energetic you can hike the hills of our farm to get a good workout. We do NOT offer horseback riding and we ask that you respect our fenced in areas and do not try to visit our cattle or horses within the fenced pastures. Our dogs often follow us when doing our daily chores. PLEASE DO NOT FEED OUR ANIMALS.

We are 1 hour from Gettysburg PA, Baltimore MD, and Hershey PA, 45 minutes to Lancaster, and 20 minutes from York. Codorus State Park and Lake Marburg is only a 15 minute drive.

NO pets please!

Great private spot for camping. Perfect mix of modern conveniences with remote setting. The pavilion was a great gathering spot and the trees provided some shelter from the sun. We will definitely book here again.

Really enjoyed our stay! Having the pavilion with picnic tables and lights was great! Having a (full size) refrigerator really makes camping much easier. It was also neat to see all the different animals on the farm.

The site is very private and well maintained. The listing is accurate and the site was exactly as we expected.

Lisa was a great host - very responsive and helpful leading up to our trip and while we were there.

This campsite was great and perfect for our needs! Due to some health reasons we needed to bring food that had to stay cold, and the fact that this site had a refrigerator and electricity was perfect. Other perks were the campfire and stove, the pavilion roof (came in handy during a heavy rain), and the pit toilet.

Lisa was great, very helpful in every way and she even gave us some of her grass-fed beef which which was delicious!

The site if well secluded by the trees which is great (much better than many typical campsites), but also the house isn't too far off either in event of any needs.

Before arriving Lisa warned us that the driveway was a bit washed out by rain and asked if we still wanted to come, which we did. Our FWD corolla had no problem on the first part although it was bumpy and we had to be careful, but at the end there is a fairly steep hill which gave some difficulty. After finding the best pathway and using low-gear though we were able to get up without issue. I'm sure this would not be a problem with an AWD/larger vehicle, but if you have a small FWD car it is worth considering.

One other thing to note is that a number of possible tent sites are on gradual slopes currently, which limited tent options for us. Lisa said she plans to level the ground out in more places soon to provide more tent options.

Overall this was perfect for what we wanted, beautiful and secluded but also with electricity/roof/toilet to make things a little easier. We definitely plan to come back!

Photo taken from pavilion. This is the circle drive at the top of the hill you drive up to get to campsite area. You drive down main driveway and then see a "Hipcamp" sign on the left directing you up the hill on the left, that curves left into this circleLooking out the left side of the pavilion. Looking out you see woods down the hill, then main driveway, then pond, then main house.Farthest back area inside pavilion. Having fridge and electricity was super nice.Looking out the front of the pavilion from our tent. We set up tent under the pavilion for the night due to rain.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Usually the drive up the hill to the pavilion is very easy even in my Chevy Cruze - all the rain we have had is making it slightly difficult. Thank you for visiting us. Lisa

The location was great and perfect for what we were looking for! It had the perfect amount of privacy as well as space for all of the things we needed! The pavilion was an added amazing plus! We were unable to camp as we had planned due to some unforeseen personal reasons, but Lisa was very helpful throughout the process and even offered to credit our payment to a future stay even though we cancelled with short notice and past the deadline. We have stayed here before though and had a great time (see our previous review) and we hope to come back soon!
