Our camp in Bear Creek Village we loving refer to as “Burned Down House” originally had a burned down house next to the 2 car garage which still stands today. The property was so beautiful we decided to buy it anyway! We have owned and enjoyed this property since 2004. Property is 3 acres on Bear Creek which wraps around the camp. Mostly flat mown lawn. Abundant wildlife with the occasional bear coming through. Fish or swim in the creek! Only 12 miles to Wilkes Barres Mohegan Sun Casino. The Bear Creek Inn is about a mile away which offers upscale dining at reasonable prices and they have take out of entire menu when you just don’t feel like doing it yourself. Bear Creek Cafe is in walking distance across the creek. Too many activities to list. It is truly a Pocono Mountain gem. Electric, water and dump station on site. No cable but all local channels work with a basic antennae. Fire pit and a picnic table are also available for use. Ample parking

Very nice quiet secluded, you could sit and listen to the creek didnt see much wild life bit its early in the season. Met a neighbor the gentleman was very nice. Place was freshly mowed the road in was stoned in spots because of the rain, so it made it easy to get in and out. John was very helpful with information and welcoming to his property.

Site was great. It was private, large, freshly mowed and surrounded by a beautiful creek. The driveway was just repaired with all new stone so we had no issues towing our RV. The directions ahead of time were clear and the electric and water hook up worked great. There was also a dumping station area. The owner was extremely responsive and answered all questions promptly! Highly recommend!

This was a very relaxing spot.. loved being right next to the water! Hosts property is clean and mostly private (a few houses around and close to the main road but it was pretty quiet/ peaceful/ secluded). Would stay again 10/10. 💕

Staying John's Burned Down House campsite was a wonderful experience. It was the perfect combination of nature and seclusion. Having the creek so close was a plus too!

John has a great little plot of land. My stay got off to a rough start due to the previous campers not checking out on time, and leaving a significant mess. John did a great job intervening and I appreciate him for that! While not as secluded as I hoped, its still quite beautiful.
