Reserved for your exclusive use, this picturesque campsite is nestled atop a forested hill in a secluded clearing near our family’s farmhouse home. The campsite is tucked into the Trexler Nature Preserve, and is an excellent starting point to explore the many diverse hiking and mountain biking trails it has to offer. There is a majestic creek just down the hill, which is well stocked with trout, and just a little ways upstream you will discover the Lehigh Valley's most beloved swimming hole, known as the "Jordan Creek Ford". There is some wonderful wildlife here on the property -- blue herons, screech owls, and red tailed hawks are common visitors. Also within walking distance are paddocks where dozens of buffalo and elk graze -- a unique feature of the Lehigh Valley Zoo, which is a hidden gem accessible from the campsite via the Trexler Preserve's extensive trail system.

The campsite is run by "superhosts" Andy and Jack, who will work to make your stay as comfortable and rewarding as they can.

It is very quiet here -- there are no busy roads or highways within earshot, and you can get a great view of the night sky. That said, our site is easily accessible from the major highways, and is within a 10 minute drive to fine dining, grocery stores, and family-friendly fare.

This was a great spot to get away for a night. The varying trail lengths are a short walk away, great for any hiker, regardless of experience. The camping spot is on a hill, so you'll have to be comfortable with sleeping at an angle. It didn't bother us much, but we did slide to the foot of our tent all night. The host family was very warm and welcoming; they were readily available if we had any questions. They also offer a bundle of wood (3 logs) for $5, which is great if you're unable to find dry wood.

Hi Nicky. Thanks for the feedback. We have changed our site plan so that all campers can now set up on the flat part of the orchard instead of on the steeper part. If you come visit again you should not have the same issue with the slope.

LOVED OUR STAY! Everything was as described and we were accommodated with all our requests. Andy & Jack were super cool, great hosts and we felt welcomed. We will be back again to ride Trexler and spend a night on the hill

We had a wonderful two night stay on Jack & Andy's land! The campsite is huge and tucked away from their farmhouse style home, providing a truly remote feel.

We set up our tent by the firepit and 3 Adirondack chairs. It was on a slight incline but worth it to be in the middle of the open space. There is flatter land available on the other side.

The outhouse is positioned down the path, behind the hosts house, right by their chicken coup. We loved seeing the chickens in the yard and meeting their sweet dog.

Jack and Andy were super helpful by providing maps and recommendations. There's a trail head just a few minute walk down the road and many more just a short drive into the preserve. Check out the nearby drive in theater!

We loved our stay at Andy & Jack's! The property is beautiful and so close to so many great hiking trails in the Trexler Preserve. The river is great for swimming on a hot day, the sunset is beautiful from the trail down the road and there's a drive in theater less than 5 minutes away. We will definitely be back!

My friends and I had a great time staying at this site because it was so private due to us being the only campers that night. The only downside was that the site is on a slant. A few of us moved our tents around a couple times trying to find the flattest ground, but even so we still were sliding while we were sleeping. The flattest ground was to the right when you first got to the clearing, but it was close to the road so lost the camping feel. The fire pits were great and the host provided a clean cooking grate. We did a nice 6 mile hike the next day so the proximity to the Nature Preserve was lovely! Would recommend to others especially since we were camping newbies...nice practice!
