Enjoy an Adventure in "Glamping" at Highland House on Pittsburgher Highland Farm. This custom built 8 by 16 foot Tiny House sits among rolling pastures, hills and woods, Scottish Highland cattle and chickens.  Enjoy peace, tranquility and a working farm within an hour of Pittsburgh. There is plenty of fun to have on 140 acres and more to see and do nearby.

Glamping with all the amenities of home:

Complete kitchen with stove, oven, sink & fridge.  Included are cookware, dishes, flatware, teakettle, and a French coffee press.  There are even 4 wine glasses - hey we aren't animals.  A gas grill is outside next to the deck for bar-b-q's.  Living room sofa folds out to a double bed and faces a flat-screen TV, DVD player and CD-Tape-Radio combo. Queen bed in sleeping loft.  Full bathroom with sink, shower, medicine chest and composte toilet.   Towels and bed linens are included.

Outdoors you can relax on the deck facing rolling hills, sit by a campfire and roast some marshmallows (logs, kindling and an ax are included), gaze up at the stars with the telescope, bar-b-q on the grill and eat dinner on the patio table set under the canopy ( Spring-Summer-Fall), enjoy the Scottish Highland cattle or take the binoculars and go bird-watching.  A pair of cross country skis are by the front door and there are two vinyl sleds under the house for winter snow fun !!

There are 140 acres to walk, hike, bike and enjoy with plenty of room to pitch a tent outside and sleep under the stars.

Just off I-70 and I-76 (PA Turnpike) and only one half hour from Pittsburgh!

Highland House at Pittsburgher Highland Farm functions off the grid

24-7-365.

Electric = Solar Power

Heat & Cooking = Propane Gas

Water = Rain Collection & Bottled Water

Toilet = Compostable

Weather conditions affect every day and we are subject to temperature changes each season.

During the winter months pipes freeze so we are unable to provide running water in the Tiny House.   Bottled water for drinking and jugs of tap water for washing are provided.

Cloudy days with little sunshine prevent the solar panels from producing as much energy as needed so we try to conserve electricity every day.

    The Highland Tiny House was so much fun! My dog and I enjoyed roaming the area, visiting with the Highland cattle, making a fire, walking in the nearby steam, and cozying up in the tiny home. For anyone that wants a relaxing and unique weekend, please visit the Highland Tiny House. You won't be disappointed.
