A little slice of heaven
The natural beauty of this place was absolutely stunning and the campsite had practically everything you needed to drive up and chill out. The owners are incredibly sweet and accommodating too, many thanks! This was exactly the escape I needed, can’t wait to go back!
Great spot for a weekend!
Very nice spot near the creek, which our kids used to raft down and we used to sit by during the day (12 of us total). Campsite was clean and had a fire pit set up for us with stools (although we had our own chairs). A few of us camped at the site, but we mostly put our tents in the adjacent hayfield and used the base site to set up a shelter and cook site. There was a canvas tent at the site, which our teens used for a base camp for their things and a shelter when it was raining. Having a port-a-potty at the site was nice, and was about 300 yards or so away from the site across a hayfield and shared with the yurt guests. Hosts were very nice and answered any of our questions. Would go back.
Heaven by the creek
Really enjoyed our stay here. Approaching the campsite through the field was intimidating but very fun...have 4x4!! Their dog was our only greeter which was great during this pandemic...don't worry he remained socially distant! We followed a short path to access the creek to cool off and try to catch a fish. The site did not mention having a camp toilet in tent w bags for waste in addition to porta potty- that was a treasure!
The birds chirping in the AM and a thunderstorm making the stream roar were just beautiful to listen to. As was the roaring fire we managed to keep blazing through some of the rain!
Although we had our own grill I noticed they provided one. Site also included 2 canvas chairs, trash can, potable water and small silly surprise- but a frisbee! It's a little thing but we enjoyed it! I wish I did not have to come home!
Super private, great hosts!!
Britt and Kelly were very attentive hosts, and we couldn't have been happier with the location. Tucked away in the back corner of their farm along the Wallenpaupack Creek, this was exactly what we were looking for!
The site is exceptionally private. There are three other sites on the property, but they are completely out of view and earshot. The tent was clean, as was the overall campsite. The tent is up on a platform and a queen inflatable bed (perched on a folding base) is provided, along with a couple of folding chairs, a portable loo, waste bags and a portable stove. The creek is approximately 30 feet from the tent, and you can hear it as it lulls you to sleep at night.
Kelly was quick to respond to questions, and we were able to buy firewood and fresh, delicious eggs from them.
Overall we were very happy with our stay!
Had a very good time at this location. The site being right on the creek was very beautiful and calming. Some things to note about the listing are that there is a steep drop off between the fire pit and tent area that may be difficult to access for some people and to access the creek from the listing you must walk over a small marsh. Other than that our time here was perfect.
We stayed at camp #3 and it exceeded our expectations. It comes set up for a couple or small family, but we were a group of 6 (3 couples) and found the campsite to be very private, quiet, and spacious. We had plenty of room for our cars and added tents. A picnic table would have been nice but it was not critical. The large tent and platform at the site served as a great place to cook and store, and serve food. We moved the toilet provided into our our own pop-up cabana so everyone had their privacy. This site has easy access to the creek and we enjoyed putting our chairs and feet in the water to relax. Our hosts were friendly and brought us plenty of their tasty well water on request. We also really enjoyed eating their farm fresh eggs for breakfast.
We had a really lovely stay in June for my birthday. Plenty of firewood and kind of a treat to sleep on a raised platform instead of the ground. We didn’t meet our hosts but never needed anything more than what was provided. We took some nice walks in the woods on nearby trails and were happy to avoid crowds. We barely saw anyone! So peaceful! Thank you for all of this!
