This site was great! It’s spacious and right next to a beautiful creek, secluded in the woods. Curtis and his kids were super friendly and helpful.
The site is secluded and conveniently located on a small river. Curtis provided some fire wood, which was a very nice surprise. The cows on the farm are curious and greeted us at the fence.
This is a new site so there wer a few snags with directions, but Curtis was very open to feedback. I imagine this space will only get better.
One note- while it is peaceful and secluded, you will still hear street noise and there is some light polution. We still managed to unplug and relax.
Good camp site next to stream.
We got confused on where to go, but his boy showed us exaclty where to go and offered help with carrying and setting up camp! Fantastic place to stay for cheap if you’re in the area.
The site was private, well taken-care of, and listening to the small stream at night was great. Tiny bit of a walk from the designated parking, but I think all the best sites are walk-ins anyways. They feel more remote/peaceful that way.
Curtis & his family were friendly and helpful, and getting to see some farm animals was a nice bonus.
Good
The campsite was perfect for what we needed and for the price, and we were greeted by a nice dog when we got there! It was pretty small, space for probably only two small tents, but it fit our group (of 2) perfectly. There was some road noise, but as it was a residental country road, there wasn't much traffic. The walk from the car to the campsite was clear and easy to follow. Unfortunately we didnt hear from our host until after we left, but I'm assuming that that was due to my phone service, and not his fault. Overall, it was a good weekend, the perfect site for an easy camping get away or a trial weekend before a bigger trip.
Curtis was friendly and welcoming on arrival. The site itself is nice and isolated. However, the path to the site was overgrown and uneven footed under the long weeds. This made for a harder load in/out with bad weather and a little bit stressful for walking in the dark or rain for tripping/ankle twisting hazards. Otherwise a nice stop. Hi to the cute pigs and cows.
Very nice
