What a fantastic place to find some silence and solitude! The cabin was comfortable and the kitchen perfect for simple meals. The property was outstanding with beautiful gardens, a swing, a dock to sit on, a prayer trail and the labyrinth, all well-cared for and so peaceful. I am excited to tell others about this gem. If you’re thinking about some time away, this is the place to go
Perfect place for a spiritual quest
The place is magical, blessed and sacred all rolled up into one. I was truly surprised at how palpable the peace felt through the whole property. Everyone in my party felt born again. Just go and experience it.
On a less important note (to me), the cabin itself is perfectly kept and has everything you need from fresh linens to cookware and utensils.
Khyber the dog is great company too, we love him.
Thank you John and Sandy, hope to be back many times.
I spent just a few nights at the humble FernRock retreat cabin and property. My visit to the SE Pennsylvania area coincided with reasons other than being at FernRock alone. So my days were spent going back and forth from FernRock to other engagements. At times, I found myself sorry to leave the retreat area and wanting to just stay there for the time that I had. Though the reasons for leaving were necessary, too. That aside, FernRock offered the quiet, simple, cozy cabin in the woods essence and peaceful respite needed to begin to feel at ease and at home again. I suppose this is what retreat centers and places are looking for when they offer their spaces to others. So 10/10 would recommend FernRock and would love to return again, too. Thank you for hosting and offering your sweet and peaceful space to others. It was much appreciated.
Fern Rock Retreat was the perfect place for a reflective, fun few days. The cabin was perfect and cozy and the outdoor space was amazing. It offered so many little moments and spaces for surprise and inspiration, from the walking trail in the forest to the creek, labyrinth, and treehouse. Plus, Sandy and John were amazing hosts. Highly recommended for anyone looking for some peace and quiet.
Such a perfect oasis! The cabin was more spacious than we expected--plenty of room for 2 adults and our 4 children slept in the loft. Our kids were so excited about the rowboat, kyaks, tree house, super friendly dog, the goats and the chickens, we could have spent our entire trip on-site!
Sandy and John were warm, friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive.
It was truly a magical space--the labyrinth was a particularly unique and amazing feature. It was the best glamping experience of my life!
Fern rock retreat is amazing!
Very very beautiful and a great place. Tiny house is amazing, so much easier than tent camping. The property is incredibly beautiful and our kids loved boating. Will go again! Fantastic. Very friendly hosts. Really perfect.
Relaxing and enjoyable
This was a great getaway with my wife. It is a nice wooded setting with a beautiful stream that runs close by. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.
We will surely be back. Thanks
WOW. Our family lives in the city and we needed a break, especially during this pandemic that has had us cooped up in our house more often than usual. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. This was truly a grounding and healing few days that have reset us in preparation for the next month...until our next stay, which we booked as soon as we got home. Sandy met us from a distance and wore a mask, but gave us a contact-free option as well. Sandy and John’s dog, Khyber, was our tour guide to the grounds and we miss him already. We feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this lovely place.
