Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras * We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras! Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby. Note: Monthly rental discounts are available. Work-stay exchange programs are available. We are always looking for good reliable part-time help on the farm! Please ask! Fall leaves colors are looking awesome! Come enjoy the leaves by day and stars by night beside your campfire! Follow us on Instagram: @fairview_farms_airfield

Fairview Farms - Rustic Tent
Chill veiw
This funky tent, had sliding glass doors, a large wood burning stove and wood floors. SItuated in the top corner of the property, it had an amazing view of the sunset, and all the seclusion you could ask for.

Fairview Farms - Dispersed Sites
Tested new camping gear with my dog Bella at this unique airfield / campsite. Bill and Erin showed incredible hospitality, with Bill giving us a tour around his 66-acre wonderland upon our arrival. The fresh snowfall made the experience magical, and the seclusion was perfect. Bella and I had a blast, and we’re grateful for the care and suggestions from Bill. Already planning our next adventure back to this stunning spot. It’s a must-visit for anyone wanting to explore the outdoors with a welcoming, friendly base camp. Thanks, Bill and Erin, for a memorable stay!

Fairview Farms - Rustic Tent
Book it!! You won’t regret it!
My group of 4 and our tiny pup had an incredible time in the Rustic Tent and Bill was so nice and helpful! The land is spacious with privacy at all the sites from what we could see, some more than others but the Rustic Tent was perfect for our group. The fire kept us warm all night and all day and the beds were comfy and pretty fun! We ended up getting the unlimited package for both nights we were there and it was so worth it, we never ran low on wood, always love farm fresh eggs, and the hot tub was definitely a highlight of our trip! On our second night there was an issue with the fireplace and Bill happened to be there dropping off wood, he tried to fix it on the spot for us and when he wasn’t able to (needed a part), he graciously offered us to stay at The Tiny home for our last night to ensure our comfort and safety. Both places were rustic and perfect for us and for it even being one of our groups first time camping. The tiny home even had a partially fenced in yard that our pup definitely enjoyed and it was nice to have a couple creature comforts like Wi-Fi, tv, fridge, and private bathroom after a more rustic first night. Bill was truly a delight, was there when we needed him and checked up on us with the cold temperatures, allowed us privacy as well, we plan to be back very soon and even hope to exchange work for a stay in the future as that’s something they’re open to and something we’ve done in the past as well, thank you again for a great stay!!

Fairview Farms Barn Stay
Perfect Family Getaway
Amazing Hosts, beautiful views, and absolutely perfect for a little getaway. We stayed in the "Barn" and it was the perfect mix of rustic with all the modern amenities. It felt so homey and relaxing. Everything was well stocked and the hosts were very helpful if there were any questions. Also very pet friendly with an area dedicated for the doggies. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and I will for sure stay there again. Thank you William and Erin for an amazing and much needed family weekend. Amy, Andy, Grayson and Booner
