Camp Overview:

Need to get away or traveling and need a one night stay, this is a private campsite for you and your friends and family just outside of York Pennsylvania. As fellow campers we know how fun getting away can be and we strive to provide you with the most secluded and clean site possible. Everybody knows the irritations of camping at state and public parks and how cramped campsites can be. Here we allow only one party to camp at a time, so you can have the whole 50 acres to yourself and companions.

Description of camp:

The campsite is a level hilltop clearing surrounded by woods. We have a stone driveway that leads to the site that gets you back into the woods. The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. At the site there is plenty of space for tents and vehicles. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service. The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy, an outdoor shower/changing room, a charcoal cooking pit, level picnic table, dry fire wood, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it. The woods are hilly so biking can be difficult in sections, but there is great biking and running on the roads near the campsite that gets good shade in the hot weather. On the property we have 2 miles of hiking trails that are marked with fluorescent ribbon. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer.

Nearby Activities:

A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. There are many excellent restaurants and brewpubs nearby, including the award winning Warehouse Gourmet Bistro and Brewpub. For more information read our activities section to find out what other things we provide or have nearby that you can do.

Pricing/Offers:

*If people do not book the site within a few days of availability we may lower the price. So if you are unsure please click on the days you wish to camp and check the price.

We have a weeknight discount for the site which is 33.50 dollars (Sunday-Thurdsay nights). Friday night and Saturday night we charge 35 dollars. Any additional guests after five we charge 3 dollars per person. We allow up to 10 guests. We have some available offers listed on our site that you may purchase when you book the site. These include ice water, and a set of cornhole you may rent. The water is 5 dollars and the cornhole is 3 dollars. For more information on these items please go to our offers section.

Things we ask:

Extinguish camp fires that are unattended and to only make them in the designated fire pit/ BBQ pit, no noise past 9 o'clock, please do not leave anything, firearms and fireworks are prohibited, do not bring firewood as there is wood here (in order to prevent invasive bug spread), please keep your pets attended/on a leash, clean up after your pets, please return everything you move, be respectful of wildlife (take memories leave only footprints), and have fun

Great private site with a very friendly host. The site is open and flat And surrounded by woods with lots of trails. There’s plenty to explore to keep kids entertained and while walking some trails we spotted some deer and a toad. There’s even a privy onsite which is very clean and well maintained. It’s the perfect spot to feel like your in the middle of nowhere while only being a few hundred feet from the road. There’s plenty of space for larger parties as well. I would definitely recommend this site and host.

This was fantastic! We loved camping at this close to home space. It felt like a world away! The site was very nice and perfect for our RTT. The trails were great - just the right size for our kids to explore and our puppy to keep up! We hope to go back soon :)

Perfect location for a rooftop tent. We loved staying here and hiking!

Wow, what an amazing special space! This tiny mountain really is paradisical. The hosts have put a lot of love into the campsite, equipped with a large fire pit, outdoor shower, outhouse, picnic table, free wood, and a camping journal to share your stories and read others'! The hosts were so kind and sweet, warm and welcoming when we arrived in a thunderstorm. It is so peaceful up there, and spacious enough for pups to run and explore. This is a one of a kind spot and we would definitely love to return. Thank you, friends!

As described! Perfect one night camping spot for 2 adults and toddler on a road trip. Drive was easy to find, and short to a private spot that felt like a cleared hill top. Great, simple amenities and clear communication. Would stay again!

A nice play to go camping where you don’t have to worry about noisy neighbors camping next to you. Plenty of options to put up your tent(s). Enjoyed the walking trails on the site. Took advantage of renting the corn hole boards and 5 gallon water. Water stayed cold the entire two nights we were there.

Great site. Plenty of choices for tent placement, all the basics and some nice extras like dry tinder box, plenty of firewood, and possibly the cleanest outhouse I’ve ever seen. Booking was easy and communication was quick. Best of all, you have the site all to yourself...didn’t see another soul all weekend

What a perfect first Hipcamp experience! Truly felt like my own private campground.

I love primitive camping but all of my favorite campgrounds are still closed, and I’m not a fan of large family campgrounds that get noisy and crowded. This site was exactly what I was looking for - private, well maintained, and had all the necessities. There was a nice fire pit and lots of wood, picnic table and places to sit, an outhouse with sanitizer, an outdoor shower I didn’t use but would have been handy on a longer stay, and walking trails to explore.

The host was quick to communicate, friendly, and very welcoming. I didn’t get a chance to meet them, but that was okay. The GPS directions are very accurate, I went up a gravel driveway and found myself in a small clearing in the woods. It was nice night so I slept without a rain cover and fell asleep under the stars.
