The area was lovely and quiet. Located in field near a red barn and next to woods (where there are trails). I was just dropping in for a quick overnight and was the only one there. I was able to drive my car right up to the very large, lovely fire pit near the pond. I would check with the owner if this is the case when multiple campers are there (I forgot to ask). Port-a-potty is located a bit of a walk from the fire. It is in-sight across the field but not directly nearby (which will be very welcome for most.... Except for perhaps a late night dash). Host was very friendly and helpful. She made me feel welcome and at-ease.
We arrived later in the evening and pulled right up to the big fire pit. Spent a quiet and peaceful night looking at the stars. Woke up to see what a beautiful piece of land it is with the big barn and apple trees. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
We loved staying there and felt very much at home. There was tons of space to park (several fields). At night we heard the coyotes howling, which was quite beautiful. The fire pit was huge and surrounded by rocks to sit on and there were plenty of logs available. We woke up looking out the pond. Really a nice time and a scenic ride in to the location, as well.
We loved staying at Plaid and Paisley Camp. Elizabeth was a wonderful and thoughtful host. She made us feel very welcome. The information and directions were great. We came in the coldest of winter (in January) so we had our pick of spots. We set up right in front of the pond. It was so beautiful and peaceful. In the morning we had our chairs facing the pond and enjoyed the view and the sunshine for breakfast. A lovely stay. We stayed at Plaid and Paisley Camp as a stop over in between trips to Cuyahoga Valley and Shenandoah National Parks and felt it was a perfect.
