Prior to the camping date, DJ answered all of our questions and provided all the resources for hiking trails in the area.
Upon pulling up to the site, we were greeted by one of the friendliest hosts we have ever met. The grounds were perfectly clean and up kept. We were given lots of flexibility for where we would set up our tents. incredible amenities for hiking and day adventures. not to mention beautiful scenery, a super fun corn maze, fire pits, hammocks, and the cows!! We have to come back for pumpkin picking in the fall.
Simply put, this was one of the best camping experiences we have ever had. Thank you so much, DJ & family!
11/10 would recommend to all my friends.
This place is amazing. The host was super friendly and helpful. He made a farm tour for us, we could see and pet some of the cows. They also have a corn maze right next to the campground. We could walk through it even at night (it’s actually more fun). So overall we are very happy we chose this place. Definitely gonna come back!
The campsite was clean and easily accessible. Fire pits and benches were large and well kept. The sound of the train whistle at night was quite pleasant. The morning after, we walked over to check out the cows and Dj gave us and our 4 year old son an amazing and educational tour of the operations of the farm. We collected fresh chicken eggs, played with the dog and two cats, fed the calves, drank fresh raw milk from the cooling tank (yum!), were surprised by a newborn calf just hours old still struggling to stand, and were driven back to our tent in a barrel train (you'll have to see it for yourself). What an unexpected and delightful experience! We were only camping one night, but will definitely be back again with friends. Thanks so much Dj!
Stunning sunsets and starry nights
Truly extraordinary experience. We will definitely return. The open sky, stunning sunsets, starry nights, and green rolling hills off to the horizon in every direction were perfect.
The campsite was next to a legitimate corn maze that was oddly fun. We were there for 3 nights and while when we arrived on Saturday there were 3 other small groups far enough away to feel private... The other nights we were alone. The dogs could run in the field and the solitude was simply incredible after months in the pandemic in NYC.
Pick this spot. You won't regret it.
We came from NYC and it was simply wonderful having a few days out under the wide open sky with rolling green hills in every direction. We came on a Saturday so only one day had other campers. The rest of our time (Sun, Mon, Tue) we had the entire site to ourselves throwing frisbees for the dogs, catching fireflies, cooking by campfire and stargazing at night. We ran the corn maze a bit and got to meet the farm-dog. 10/10 would recommend. Next time we come, we'll take advantage of the nearby lake and stuff - we totally forgot to even explore those options this time around. (Pro-tip - there are some tires and huge watershed pipes embedded in woodchips for kids to play on/in. If you can take some family pics *inside* the largest pipe, it makes for incredible insta-worthy pics with the shapes and textures).
