DJ met us at the property and was a very gracious host. Communication during our stay was exceptional. A beautiful setting for a camp out on rolling farmland. The strings of lights and electric were an unexpected bonus. Highly recommend it!

We have been at Duncan's Piece of Heaven twice in 1 month. I think that it's more than clear we love the place! Loretta and Donald are lovely. They are super busy at their milk farm, however, they find the time to meet us, give us all the needed information (and firewood) and spend a little time with us around the fireplace. I strongly suggest to keep some time and visit their farm. I never expected in my glass of milk and in my burgers, there are so much work and passion!

DJ and Loretta were amazing hosts. We arrived well after dark, and rather than struggle with setting up camp in the darkness, they offered a trailer on site for us to stay in our first night. Waking up the next day to the beauty of their land was a great surprise - we were camped right next to the start of their corn maze!

They provided tons of wood for use in their fire circles and access to fresh water to drink and hose down with. They were close by in case we needed anything, but didn't feel like they were hovering - which was great. We went to check out the meteor shower, and even with heavy cloud cover had a more than enjoyable experience laying out on the ground as the fog descended around us.

If you're looking for a completely private campsite, however, this isn't that. There were a couple of other sites very close to ours. But we did get to meet another couple adventuring around, so that was great. Also, if you have an aversion to bugs you'll want to mind the sweat bees. They're more a nuisance than any real problem, and we weren't bothered - but something to consider when camping in a corn field.

Would absolutely recommend to other campers and hope to stay again in the future.

Donald and his wife were great hosts and given the chance we will be going back to visit them again. We were in a rush this overnight trip to test and mess with gear, we had the dogs with us and this were a bit hectic on our end. When we have more time to enjoy the corn maze and the area we'd like to go back.

Donald and his wife Loretta were an absolute pleasure to stay with! We hope to return sometime as they were the best hosts you could ask for. My husband and I camped here with our dogs for two nights and stayed in one of their lean-tos near their corn maize. It was a delightful little spot and we got to hang out with them for a bit and Donald even took my husband hiking on the AT during the day while I was running a race. They welcomed us to their property and even showed us around, teaching us quite a lot about their work as dairy farmers. Highly recommend!

They even welcomed our dogs who were kind of jerks to a cute pup they had roaming around. These faces greeted us as made our way up to their barns to say thank you and goodbye on our way outFeeding time for some babies!Loretta introduced us to a few of their calves.

Meeting DJ and Loretta was a wonderful experience, and staying at their corn maze was nothing short of the great adventure. I will definitely be passing along information for this wonderful place to all of my friends.

The place was very festive and the description on HipCamp was totally accurate.

Very accommodating, friendly, and generous hosts. I look forward to seeing them and the farm again!

Really great wife open space for cool sunsets Our Tepui rooftop tent. It was chilly, but as you see, we came prepared!

My partner and I spent the most amazing two days at DJ and Loretta's farm. They are wonderful hosts! While we always come prepared with our own gear, cookware, food and water, there were a couple of items we forgot and the hosts kindly provided us with those items.

The farm itself is beautiful, and we loved learning about the ins and outs of a modern dairy farm operation and meeting the animals.

The hosts provide lots of free firewood which gives this place an advantage over any state park or private campground.

When searching for potential camping spots, we have a few things that are most important to us and Ardounie farm exceeded every one of them.

Specifically, we look for:
- lots of outdoor space for our furry buddy to run and play off leash. Our pup had the best time running around the farm, finding bones in the field and meeting farm animals. I'm pretty sure he is still depressed about coming back to the city.
- proximity to hiking. There is a beautiful lake just 10 mins away from the farm with lots of flat trails and water activities. We ended up driving 30 mins to the Pinnacle loop - a really picturesque 8 mile loop to the top of a mountain via the Appalachian Trail. Really awesome hike that left all of us (including the puppy) tired and happy. It's best to walk the trail counterclockwise passing the pulpit rock on the way up.
- bathroom access. We are city folk after all and prefer an actual toilet when possible. Our hosts hadn't set up port-a-potties for the season just yet but let us use a bathroom and sink in the camper next to the campsite which was even better.

We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back! Thank you DJ and Loretta for your hospitality.

Buddy's first time meeting the cows. When was the last time you played on a sea saw?! Lots of neat things around the farm like these tractor tires!Watching beautiful sunset across the field. Getting ready for a cold night with a fire.
