A perfect evening
This is a perfect place to stay for a peaceful night’s rest under a beautiful sky full of stars. Scott was welcoming and helped us find an ideal place to park our RV. We would’ve indulged in the very sweet fire pit area if not for being so sleepy. Our pup enjoyed strolling the rows of little trees, and we loved the views above the rolling hills of central PA. We hope to need to stay here again!
Well run property. a must visit!
I cannot say enough good things about this campsite! For starters it is in the peaceful Pennsylvania countryside where you can see all of the stars at night. Second, it is in Amish country and during my one night stay I saw no less than 4 horse and carriages go by. Third, the firewood supply is on point and burns really well. I especially enjoyed the fragrance that the pine needle kindling put out. Scott and his wife do an excellent job at maintaining the property and were nothing but friendly and helpful to me during my stay. I give this property my highest possible recommendation and urge you to make it a part of your next camping adventure.
What a tranquil place to camp!
What a great place to camp! The hosts were very nice and friendly. Upon my arrival, I was given a tour of the two sites with fire pits, firewood, bathroom, and everything. Scott walked by when I was sitting by the fire with my daughter and we talked. Everything was clean, private, and awesome. The view from the site was simply gorgeous.
Just like other review says, I heard Amish buggy strolling around in a peaceful quiet at dusk. Such a tranquil time we had.
I am very much looking forward to camping at this site for many more times to come!! Highly recommended!
This was my second time camping here, and it was as good as a campsite can be. As it is getting close to the Christmas tree hunting season, I saw some families walking around to pick their trees, or taking pictures, probably for their Christmas cards. Awesome view, awesome setup, awesome location (as I live less than 10 minutes from this place), but, most importantly, awesome host. Scott started the fire for us when we arrived. It was cold, but we felt welcome and stayed warm with good supply of firewood. I will sure to be back after the Christmas season for another cold solo camping.
Nice little spot on a hill. Might be tricky camp site on a windy night as there is very little protection from big gusts. Pretty bare bones. No toilets or water provided but hosts very kindly built us a fire in their fire pit for a $5 charge. The fire pit is a few stones throws away from the house of the host. We rented out amongst the x-mas trees. There's a beautiful field of grain behind the property. Dogs on the neighboring properties barked for a lot of the night but not too loud. Saw lots of Amish wagons going back and forth and enjoyed hearing the clip clip of horse hooves. Owner came out to say a brief hello. Pretty out there in the middle of the country side. We enjoyed this spot.
Talk about christmas in july!
Pretty darn neat to have an entire tree farm all to yourself! We were treated to gorgeous sunsets and morning mist. The firepit is enormous with sweeping hilly views, and the stargazing didn't disappoint. Scott was responsive and helpful. The campsite exceeded my expectations and I recommend it highly. I loved the symphony of birds in the morning! Make sure you're the type of camper that's ok with bare-bones amenities; there's no table or shower, so read the listing carefully if you're someone who needs those things. We enjoyed driving around Amish country and eating Dutch Pennsylvania country food. A perfect weekend getaway for us city folk.
