Carrie is a kind and thoughtful hos
I've used Hipcamp many times. Carrie is the best host I've ever stayed with.
Her directions were good and she was super responsive with communications. She answered my questions in a timely way.
The site was as advertised. She marked the site with a small rock pile and an orange flower. At the site there was a nice fire pit and tent site. There was also wood stacked next to the fire pit. There was also an outdoor toilet. And for a nice touch she had a gallon of water waiting for me at the site.
There are a couple gates to get through and i was on a motorcycle. Carrie strategically located several flat rocks in strategic locations so I could put my kickstand on them as I navigated the gates. On dirt and grass a heavy bike can fall over if the stand sinks into the soft ground. This small gesture was so thoughtful and appreciated.
And as an added benefit, Carrie provided a hot (outside) shower. So nice after 350 miles of riding.
As a host, I give Carrie my highest reccommendation.
Carrie was a great host; she made sure we had dry firewood, fresh water, and offered suggestions for local places to eat. In the morning she had coffee ready 😀
The campsite was private and we saw a small family of deer in the meadow. There were beautiful views of the surrounding landscape at the gate between the meadow and the horse pasture (short walk from the tent).
